Works to expand desktop, plugs right in and works, plus the price is great. Resolution support slightly lower than my high resolution screen can support. Also, it allowed me to use a dual screen kvm that supports dual hdmi on an older laptop with only one hdmi port. Not sure how it would working for gaming, but it can play video fine.

This does exactly what it’s supposed to…and not a penny more. If you only need one connection, this is a great product. Personally, I wish I had had more foresight and just bought the dock that I ended up buying when I needed more than just HDMI.

but this gizmo is $55 cheaper. tried using this on my iPad to stream sky.com ( didn't work because sky.com are thieves and do let let you watch anything outside of the UK even though I'm paying $87 pcm- Ouch) but netflix came through at 4K HDR . also works with BBC Iplayer and so happy endings ! please note that this Gizmo does not charge the ipad whilst watching whereas the apple usb- does.

Did not fit my iPhone 15 Pro with the case on... if you do not have a case on your phone it fits. Now that I have figured that out I will check to see if it works like it's suppose to. To be continued… Added another star from my original three star because it did work and did not get hot like my previous Apple adapter did. Just wish it would fit my phone with the case on.

So it's not perfect. There can be a slight stutter when streaming video and on older tv's you'll never get it to fit the screen properly. However, this is amazing and easy to use. I plugged my phone in and immediately got a message that I was connected to an external display. With my 2021 smart TV it actually turns my phone into a mouse/keyboard hybrid that, while a tad finicky, is totally acceptable. Instead of showing your phone screen in these situations it will Instead show a version of the chrome book OS and you'll navigate much the same way you would on a desktop. I couldn't get the audio to come through the tv and Instead had to listen with my phone. I assume this is user error and I'll just figure it out later. On my 10+year old flat-screen from the Dark ages it merely mirrors the screen. A bit harder to work with but once video was started it was mostly ok. This is where I noticed the occasional stutter. This tv magically played audio just fine. All in all a great device. Remember to buy a 15 foot HDMI cable, preferably a pricey gold plated fiber wrapped one. I have suspicions my issue might be because my cable is on the cheaper side.

I’ve been using this HDMI Adapter for three months, and it’s been nothing but frustrating since then. Starting from the third month, it began to malfunction frequently. Issues include failing to connect to the display, black screen stuttering, and even randomly disconnecting after being successfully connected. Please take a look at the videos I uploaded. It shows the adapter working unstably after countless attempts (it usually takes me seven or eight tries plugging it in and out before it connects properly), and in most cases, it demonstrates the infuriating stuttering and blackouts (see in picture). If you're looking for a reliable, durable HDMI Adapter, this is not the one for you. The poor quality has made me incredibly upset, especially when I needed the display urgently but the adapter refused to work. It’s extremely frustrating. This is my first time writing a negative review, but I felt it was necessary. I hope my experience can serve as a warning. Don’t be tempted by the cheap price—invest in a higher-quality HDMI Adapter, even if it costs $15-$20 more. It will make a world of difference in your user experience.

The product is sturdy and the perfect size. I use this to connect my iPad mini 8 to our older Samsung TV and the quality is so good, that I try to use my TV remote because I forget that it's the iPad and not my TV.

The adapter works well with my my samsung s8, it was pretty much plug and play and I had to click on a pop up. With the newest update and this adapter I can either use mirror function or use my phone as a touchpad and the external monitor (projector) is a desktop versus. There are no issues with the sound I can either use it through the hdmi function as normal or send a signal to my bluetooth speakers as it is a function of the phone not the adapter. Will most likely buy another one for the tv downstairs.
