My husband is from Baltimore and grew up eating codfish cakes. I’ve looked locally for dry salted codfish with no luck. This is a great price and I can make 20 codfish cakes from the two filets. Cooked russets, 2eggs, garlic powder, diced green onions, salt pepper, dehydrated onions. Scoop with large ice cream scoop and coat with seasoned flour (1tbsp old bay). Pan fry until golden brown. The salted fish really elevates the flavor. I’ve tried to make the cakes with fresh cod and they are mushy and there’s too much moisture. These are better than some restaurants in MD! Will be buying these again.

Outstanding quality bacalao! Expertly packaged and delivered quickly. A perfect balance of flavor, texture and thickness.Quality salt cod has become harder to find in my neighborhood. Most stores are selling salt pollock!! I have no use for that. Wet grateful these guys are doing it right!!I’ll be back for more.

Start off with the package it was well packed he took the time to crumble up pieces of Wax paper so the Cod would not bounce around in the Box outstanding. Then I went to my scale and weighted it ... man gave me an extra pound 2.5 lb outstanding. With those two pieces of Cod I was able to do Cod fritters cod fried rice and a Cod salad and the taste of this Cod was superb. And not one bone all I can say is I was very impressed and will buy my Cod from this man again and again. My only regret was I didn't take pictures of it.

This company, Frank and Sal’s Italian Market, exceeded my expectations with my order of salted, boneless codfish! Beautiful, thick pieces of cod (seems more than 1.5 lbs!) arrived packaged with care all the way to my Arizona address (and it’s 102 degrees today!) and it was 5 days EARLY! Now I can make my special recipe in time for my 70th birthday!! Thanks, you guys!!

Nasty ! the fish is not just moist or wet, the plastic pouch has about 2” of liquid. I am guessing it is spoiled. The FedEx guy has to hold his breath when he handed me the package. Two little bags of ice (3” x 5”) are all melted and the fish warm to the touch. 2 Day FedEx didn’t help either. I threw it out and didn’t try to return it with such a strong rotten smell. Oh well .. hope you don’t make the same mistake like mine.

Clean, full cut fillets with the right amount of salt. One of the best that I have had in years.
