I ordered this unit because I live in an older apartment building where the windows open side to side and a window unit just would not work for my building. I am so happy that I ordered this. It does an excellent job of keeping my entire apartment cool.It’s basically maintenance free. It’s about the size of a kitchen garbage can. Hooking up the hose for the first time did take me a few minutes, but I was able to figure it out and once it was in, I never had to mess with it again. It’s fairly quiet and mostly sounds like white noise when running. I love the flexibility of being able to move the unit from room to room if necessary. However, like I said, it doesn’t excellent job of cooling down my entire apartment and I have not had to move it yet.I wanted to wait a while before posting this review. But I’ve owned it now for almost a year and I’m still very happy with the purchase. I highly recommend.

From the moment it arrived, I was impressed by how straightforward the entire process was. The setup was super easy and took no time at all. The instructions were clear and concise, and I had it up and running in what felt like minutes. No complicated steps or tools required!More importantly, this unit cools incredibly well! My HVAC unit was being serviced and down, this unit 14,000, cooled the majority of our 1,100 sqft house pretty quickly and maintained the comfort level well. Very efficient. Sleek design and nice controls options. It would do a small home with open floor plan perfectly. Like a two car garage I would think it would work well, of course best if the building is insulated.

When this product arrived the box was HEAVILY damaged. The box was crushed on one side and there were heavy amounts of packaging tape around the crushed side of the box, and around the bottom of the box. We brought the box inside and it sat for about 2 weeks before I was able to open it up.Upon opening the box I noticed the unit was damaged. One of the panels on the top of the unit had popped loose and broke of the the tabs snapping it into place. I was able to get the unit out and inspect for further damage and did not find any.It also came with a installation kit for the window/ venting tube. This "kit" came with panels for the window and foam for the window as well. The wingnut was missing, with attaches that panels together. I will have to find my own sliding butterfly bolt in order to install these panels.I looked extensively for any signs of small packaging within the box to make sure nothing was missed. I found a single AAA battery that was stuck to all the tape on the bottom of the box. The remote was in an individual wrapping. The remote requires 2 AAA batteries. There was no other packaging for any small products IE batteries, wingnuts, etc. within the box.I haven't even been able to test to make sure that the unit works properly due to not having all the components within the box. I will change to a 2 star if the unit works but I would be prepared to not have all of the components within the box itself if you purchase this unit.

I installed the unit in my garage and it has worked well.The remote is nice to have and the fact that it can have an auto delay function for shutdown and startup is nice. This means that at 8:00pm I can set it to turn on after a 4 hour delay so it starts cooling at midnight.
