I used these (and the 3-way “T” connectors) to wire 12v LED lighting inside my backyard shed using 22 gauge wire. These were simple to use (no stripping wire ends) and made solid connections. You need to be a little careful working with these because they have a one-way locking clamshell design, so if you’re holding one by the open end and squeeze too hard accidentally it can lock closed. It’s not the end of the world but then you need a tiny screwdriver to unlock the tabs (without breaking them) to open it. I’m not sure about damp environments and corrosion over the long run, which is always the issue for any connector, but so far these worked out great.

These small T-tap wire splicers are an excellent solution for splicing in wire pairs (12 volts or less) where there is a small confined area to work with. I spliced into the Lane Change Assist/LKAS Module on my 2013 Honda Accord EX-L sedan. I tapped the 12volt circuit to install a 3 Ports 12V RV USB Outlet adapter as a 5volt power source for my dash cams. Simply place wires into tap wedges and close top section and crimp down closing cap with a pair of pliers. These T-tap splicers made the project quick, easy, and successful. I highly recommend these T-tap splice connectors for such 12v automotive projects.

These couplers do not break the way some others do, because they have proper hinges, rather than just plastic flaps. However, one improvement would be to provide small holes in the casing, where one could insert a voltmeter probe for debugging purposes, without taking the connection apart . Im going to have a try at modifying a connector with my moto-tool. Addendum: performed operation successfully, using a 1/2 mm drill to create pilot holes, and a 2 mm drill to widen then.

These seem quality and the crimping of the wires seems easy enough - I had to use pliers to make sure it was fully closed. My first attempt at using this was unsuccessful because I used wire that is not separated. The crimping sliced though the wrong part of the wire - my problem, not the connectors.

So, this product did not work for my application (automotive). It had one job -to tap into the speaker wires and it just couldn't after many attempts. It works fine on the feed wires, which have a thicker, softer coating, but on the factory wires, the coating is harder and thinner, and despite nicking the wires -no connection. So after 3 hours of frustration, I'm returning these.

Worked great for tapping into 22ga wiring for led tape lights setup.

Love how much time these Low Voltage T-Tap Wire Connectors saved me on my latest LED project. I usually hate stripping tiny 22AWG wires because it’s so easy to accidentally snip the copper, but these just clamp right on without any stripping or soldering needed. The connection feels surprisingly solid once they click into place, and I haven't had any issues with flickering or loose circuits. They’re a total game-changer for tight spaces like under-cabinet lighting or automotive wiring where you don't have room to mess around with electrical tape and wire nuts.
