This is the recommended product for ear issues prior to seeing a veterinarian. My Integrative vet says for most itchy, ear flapping signs, a 2 week routine will clean and relieve your dogs ear canals.

Want to write a review in hopes that it helps out another dog parent. My dog is prone to ear infections from yeast. I was looking for a product to treat at home and came across zymox otic hydrocortisone 1% it had great reviews so I was excited to try it. Day 1 started out great, was super easy to apply and appeared to be legitimately working for my dog as the smell from her infection was way less strong and less irritated. 4 hours later she continued shaking her head a ton so I was questioning when that goes away but think thats kind of normal. But than she tryed to itch it alot and noticed more redness it appeared to leave a noticeable mild rash I had done some more research and it appeared there are side effects to using steroids and some dogs are allergic to hydrocortisone and one of the side effects are rash!! I was disappointed as I found that out cause I really felt it would work outside of giving her a rash that caused more itching. But than I found this version of zymox that is hydrocortisone free and decided to try that as a last resort and am on day 4 and there is no rash and this product is really working!! Annoyed that I'm $40 down now by buying two bottles of this stuff but hoping this will save me way more money in the future. I guess what I'm trying to say is if you have a pup that you know is more skin sensitive and the infection is mild I recommend trying the hydrocortisone free version first!! It's hard to pinpoint what ingredients your dog might be sensitive too but hope this helps somebody!!

So happy with this product! I used it for our dog as directed, and now I follow it up with the zymox ear cleaner every week or so. It worked great. Highly recommend!

It works on my dog ears but is too expensive

My chihuahua likes to roll ear first in the dirt so she is constantly getting ear infections. This help keeps her ears clean and free from infections very well. Has saved us a bunch of money at the vet not having to get ear infection meds all the time anymore. HIghly recommend!

I believe this would work on a normal infection.I have a large dog with chronic yeast infections. He has been struggling with this for over a year. He has been through 2 different type of treatment with the vet and numerous home treatments. Nothing seems to work.I decided to try this. It seemed to clean his ears and relieve the symptoms. I used it for 3 weeks and went through 2 bottles.Within a week of stopping he was back to scratching his ears raw. This has been the case with prescription medication too.So I would say that this product is worth a try. Save a vet visit.
