Very good
Used for 3 months while rebuilding our kitchen. We found this to work very well. Convenient and easy to operate, our only complaint is that it pulses on everything but very low settiings, making it difficult to simmer. It's pretty much standard at this price point though, as is the inability to use high settings on both rings at the same time. Much better than a portable gas or halogen hob.

So hot so quick
We brought this induction hob to try and save some money as it was taking so long for anything to heat up on our old hob. We are thrilled with it. We did a test heating up a pan of water on our old hob and the same amount of water on this new induction hob and we was amazed with the results. This induction hob water boiled in a fraction of the time.We also love it for Chinese cooking as you need to have a constant hot heat for Chinese cooking and this works perfectly for that. Please be aware though that you do need pans that work on an induction hob to use this. You can test to see if your pans will work by seeing if a magnet sticks to the base of the pan, thankfully our pans was suitable for an induction hob.

Super quick and efficient, minimal settings.
As other reviewers have said; Boils to Smeg, or keeps luke warm ish. However, on the whole it's a fantastic device, will boil a pan of very cold water (not quite ice) in about 45 seconds. That's impressive. It's very slim and obviously prtable for folk who need that capability. I've only had it for a day so I'm probably premature with my review but I'm very pleased for the price. The cooling fan is very noisy. This shouldn't be a problem if you have friends making awesome conversation with you or by trhemselves whilst you cook for them, or a decent sound system you can use to drown that out.On the whole. 4 Stars.Being sad and lonely, I've just made cheesy beans in a pan, and they look lush.I might give it 5 Stars if it doesn't break the day after whatever return options are available.

Fast and controlled
Speed and efficiency is brilliant.Heating effect localised possibly on some pans... though this can be useful as it allows some things to be kept warm while others are cooking... just adapt techniquesReally like it and would hate to go back to other types of hob

OK, but not brilliant
I bought this induction hob as an alternative to my elderly, built in gas hob (two of the four rings no longer reliable). The reviews seemed positive, so… I have now been using it for two months, with mixed and somewhat disappointing results. My main problem is that the temperature seems to be variable. For example, At the 100 C setting it intermittently boils, and then loses heat. When grilling meat at high temperature, again, it heats up the pan and before the grilling is complete, it loses heat. I am still using it, but have to drastically adjust cooking temperatures and avoid using it for dishes that require precise temperature control.

WOW
It’s like getting that first flat screen TV when you just stand there looking at it, sad I know but this is a thing of beauty. Used it a couple times now and I am in amazement on how quickly it heats up, yes there is a fan noise but nothing to complain about. So pleased with it, can’t give it enough praise. For the money too, it’s a bargain.
