NOW Sports Nutrition, Arginine & Citrulline 500 mg/ 250 mg, Amino Acids, 120 Veg Capsules

I’ve been using NOW Foods Arginine & Citrulline 500 mg / 250 mg for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with the results. The capsules are easy to swallow and don’t have any weird taste or smell. I mainly take it before workouts, and I’ve noticed better blood flow and endurance. My workouts feel more effective, and I get a nice “pump” without feeling jittery or overstimulated. I also like that this supplement combines both L-Arginine (500 mg) and L-Citrulline (250 mg) in one formula, which are known to support circulation and nitric oxide production. I'm no supplement expert, but I know that a good bit of the industry as a whole does little to warrant the price tag. I'm also no athlete and its a effort on my part to get in my 4 workouts per week. I had lost vigor in my workouts and recovery was taking longer from them where the soreness would linger longer than what I was used to. I already used a quality protein mix so I ruled that out as a possible culprit, and then to top it off, sex had become "ok". A visit to my Dr came up with nothing to worry about, so I lurked on some body builder forums and found some suggestions for people who had similar complaints and took note of a couple recurring supplement suggestions. I started off with Arginine and Citrulline and gave it a good 30 days use before posting a review. I can't give the hard core types detailed results to judge buying, but what I can say is that lingering soreness faded after around 2 weeks, to a level a little better than before, I actually got stronger and was able to maintain vigor with my workouts from start to finish, and sex got a serious charge again. That may be due to exercise being back to my pre-slump levels, but either way what I cherished was the vigor and recovery gains I got since starting to use this and it'll stay a staple of the smallish supplement rack I keep.

If you read the reviews you will find all the benefits people has enjoyed from using this. I enjoy weight training and am sick and tired of the preworkouts that have "proprietary blends" and blends of stuff that do nothing for me. So I bought this here and I take 8 pills about 20 min before I work out, which equates to 4 grams of Arginine, I do weight about 220 so I need more according to my research. The pumps are amazing, I can't state that enough. You don't need to be buying these powders loaded with caffeine that contain who knows what that do nothing for you. With this stuff you get an amazing pump in your workout and you feel like you can keep going. Most preworkouts do not have a healthy dose of Arginine or Citrulline plus the crash you get with preworkouts later in the day. I add creatine to this after my workout and it makes for a great supplement that I can really feel the difference and it is affordable. For cycling, this supplement seems to give you better blood flow which helps alleviate cramps and brings more oxygen so you can push harder on the climbs and you seem to not get as tired. For $13 bucks this is a great buy. I bought the small bottle to test out, I wanted to see if what I thought it would do and it did. So now I'll but buying the bigger bottle at $25 dollars. Taking 8 pills a workout, they go a little quicker. Remember you need at least 3-4grams to get the benefits and 4 grams is 8 caps. I do not work for NOW nutrition but will be buying more of this for sure. Again, save your money and stick to this and some german creatine, and some beta alanine, which you can get here from bulk supplements and you'll be set. Saves you tons of money and you get what you pay for and you'll see results.

I've suffered from migraines all of my adult life. A few years ago my doctor, although my blood pressure was on the low side of normal, put me on a blood pressure medication that gave me some relief. But I still got 2 to three migraines a month and the medication made me less tolerant to exercise. I gained almost 50lbs. My son, who is a body builder, told me about arginine and citrulline as something that would help me with my exercise tolerance. I tried it just before doing some long walks and I can't say I saw a difference so it just sat on my shelf. Then one day I saw it on the shelf and decided to look at it a bit closer. That's when I discovered that it could help with migraines. So I began taking a gram in the morning and another at night. No more migraines. None. I took myself off of the blood pressure meds and my blood pressure is still on the low side of normal. The best part is I have more energy and I've lost 10 pounds in the first month on it. I can't say enough good things about this product. It works much better than I could have hoped.

I tried this out to compare to the more expensive NO Booster supplements, and although it contains the same ingredients, it doesn't give me the same pump as the NO Boosters do. NO Boosters do tend to have 1 or 2 extra ingredients so that may be the difference. But this product as a standalone pre-workout supplement is just OK.

The amount of capsules you get for the price is great. These two products are pretty expensive separately so I find this combo a good deal. I have asthma and I researched L-Citrulline helps open up the blood vessels to improve flow and the carry of oxygen through the body. L-Arginine also helps with blood flow and anxiety, among other things. I always felt I wasn't getting enough air even with my Advair control inhaler. When I learned that this combo of amino acids has been used to alleviate symptoms of COPD and other lung diseases I gave it a try. There's a very big difference in how fruitful my breaths are when I take this. This helps me get rid of the feeling that I'm constantly slowly drowning in air. It really does work.

The value of this product is really good probably one of the best prices for these pills. I have taken l-arginine before but when it's combined with the cittrulline it has extraordinary effects. I have been using them because I was sluggish when I was doing hard labor but just after a week I started feeling more energy after two weeks my energy was through the roof. I had to regulate my amount of labor because working outside is even more stress on your body even if you can handle the work out. You can't handle a heat stroke and that will happen before you can say I over did it. I drink at least 8 to12 20oz waters on top of 4 Gatorades and green teas in the course of a day. I use to come home and pass out on the recliner of exhaustion. Now I can come home and take care of some things at home and still have enough energy to give the wife some attention she deserves. I'm 54 and I feel like I'm 10 foot tall and Bullitt proof. Lol. I have done more work than I have ever done I'm life and my body feels good, I don't have sore muscles for days at a time. Maybe 1 day after buy I don't even get cramps anymore. And on top of that I can feel my lungs working the oxygen through my system. I had issues with arthritis before now its practically gone. I also sleep a whole lot better.these pills are way worth their price believe me. I have my body to prove my results

I am 45 (male). I have been hypertensive and on medication for it for the past 15 years. In spite of the medicines (Ramipril 5mg BD and \Amlodipine 5mg OD), my BP used to remain in 140s (systolic) and 90s (diastolic). Last week I had it checked when I went to buy a BP instrument and was shocked to see that it was 164/100. I started with this (thrice daily), plus Omega 3 (Now Foods Omega 3 ''180 EPA / 120 DHA'' thrice daily), plus Amway Nutrilite Garlic (2 entric tabs daily). I also incorporated oranges (and juice), plus pomegranate (with seeds), plus juice and Beetroot juice. My BP almost immediately started coming down. I started recording it, several times a day. On 29th Oct2015, (my 1st recording) it was 151/99. Now it is hovering between 106/64. So much so, that my doctor has reduced the Ramipril from 5mg BD to 5mg and 2,5mg, and Amlodipine from 5mg OD to 2.5mg OD, and Argininie & Citrulline from thrice a day, to twice a day. He has told me, most likely he will reduce the medication further. I cannot say that it is all due to Arginine and citrulline only, but, for sure, theses have been the major contributors. I also always had cold hands, and I feel, that there is most probably some improvement in that too.
