terrasil Tinea Versicolor Antifungal Treatment Cream Max, 1.7oz Tube

Mine has always been super severe and noticeable. I wish I got a before picture. The first picture was after 2-3 days of use and by day 5 almost completely gone! The product is thick so a little goes a long ways. Worth every penny. I have tried numerous things in the past as mine is so prominent on my neck. I am so happy to see it almost gone in just a few days. I will say day 1-3 the spots seemed very dark and even more prominent and I was thinking omg what have I done. But stuck with it and bam. Gone. The smell isn’t strong either and honestly gone within 20-30 mins after application. This is a fantastic product!

Bottom line: If you battle with tinea versicolor, give this a whirl. I have had to deal with it for 20 years and this was the fastest topical treatment and more effective than other "prescription strength" topical solutions. The only thing as quick as this was the oral medication, but that is hard on the liver. More detail: I have only used this for treatment on my arms so far. I used this in conjunction with the Terrasil Tinea soap. My method: Shower in the morning, allowing the soap suds stay on the skin for several minutes before rinsing. After fully dried, I applied a thin layer of this ointment. In the evening, I washed with the soap and again allowing the suds to sit for a few minutes before rinsing. Again, after fully dried apply a thin layer of ointment. Right before going to bed, I would blot the remaining oil to prevent it from staining bedding. I do recall reading at least one other reviewer that stated this caused their tinea versicolor to spread. I can tell you that I initially thought this was happening to me, but I continued using and it all went away. At least in my case, I believe the "spreading" was only some tinea versicolor that wasn't initially as visible to become visible while it was getting treated. Pros: Quick - got rid of the Tinea Versicolor in just under a week. No walking around smelling like sulfur as with some topical treatments. Not a prescription so easy to get. Cons: The ointment will stain some fabrics which is why I haven't tried it in other areas. The treated area will turn "brown" when exposed to the sun. The color will go away. Questions for the Manufacturer: Instructions/answers could be clearer. Because of the oiliness and the staining, can this product be as effective if it were blotted dry after a period of time? Such as 'apply a thin layer and can be blotted dry after an hour'. Just an example if you know how long it needs to be in place to be effective. Is the oil portion of this essential to the effectiveness? It would be great if you had a cream or something that could just be rubbed in and not worry about an oil that stains fabric or rubs off on whatever is touched.

I am a physician and I bought this for my son. I was looking at just topical clotrimazole cream and then I saw this product. This has the regular FDA approved clotrimazole agent with added homeopathic ingredients. Some of those have are actually commonly used, like Zinc that has anti-inflammatory properties and has been used for diaper rashes. Silver oxide is anti-bacterial and beeswax is naturally anti-fungal. I can't prove that all of those ingredients are actually effective but the ultimately product cleared up my son's Tinea Versicolor in few days. That's amazing because typically fungi infections are stubborn and take a long time to heal. My only concern about this product is that with addition of all of the botanicals especially Tea Tree Oil - there is a good potential for contact dermatitis. So if your skin is sensitive - I would stay away from this.

Product that they sell normally takes good care of my skin. So I have nothing but good things to say. Paying a little bit more than I would like but it was okay

I’ve had severe tinea versicolor over most of my body for about 2 years. I figured I would try this product before going to a doctor as a last resort. It started working after just ONE treatment! Applied a thin layer to every area before bed and the next day it had made a noticeable difference. I’m so thrilled that my skin is almost clear. There’s no bad smell and the cream feels so hydrating and non greasy. It’s 100% worth the money.

For the price, i was expecting a better result. The creme help with the itching but it did NOT remove the Tinea V on my chesy and back. Disappointed and this was expensive. The smell was not bad. Did not help to heal the problem.

I've had Tinea Versicolor since I was 13. Over the years it hadn't been that noticeable and would eventually go away on it's own UNTIL I got pregnant. During my pregnancy it covered my entire neck, shoulders, back, and creases of my arms. After I gave birth I'd hoped it go away but it spread to under my breast and under arms. It's made me ridiculously self conscious and I thought I'd have to live with it being this server forever. I tried coconut oil, tea tree soap, African soap, tea tree oil, sealsin blue, and anti fungus creams. Terrasil is amazing and within a week of using it, it's cleared up instantly. Everyday you can see the differnce. Terrasil has got the consistency of Cresco and smells like used cooking oil as well. It's greasy. The first time I used it I lathered it on my body. I smelled like a french fry the rest of the day. Needless to say you don't need to use a lot. So this little tube will last awhile. Right now I'm washing with peppermint castille soap, which I'm sure is helping also then I take a small amount of Terrasil and rub it on my problem areas. I'll definitely buy again, it works!

I’ve been using this for the past week and it has not worked. Definitely not worth the money given it hasn’t worked for me and also the size. It is moisturizing but also feels a bit greasy.

product is overpriced. It is not "6X as fast". I bought this item in December. In February, there are still no results. Just not worth it.
