I purchased this 2-pack of CCTV microphones to add audio to my DVR surveillance setup, and they’ve worked great so far. The high sensitivity picks up surrounding sounds clearly, which is helpful for monitoring outdoor activity or entrances. Installation was simple thanks to the RCA connection, and the built-in preamp ensures the audio signal is strong enough without needing additional equipment. I was also impressed by the solid construction, which gives confidence in long-term use. These microphones are ideal for basic audio monitoring and pair well with most standard security systems. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade for more complete surveillance coverage.

I've installed 2 of these microphones outdoors under eaves of the house and shed. I purchased the 3 pack. Both exceed my expectation for outdoor microphones at this reasonable price. I've adjusted the sensitivity on both and can pick up soft voices from 30`. This is security microphone, tiny, and not for music so some digital artifacts are present at high sensitive settings (could be the camera / compression). Birds songs are pretty clear but not prefect (4 stars). I had DC power (12V) at both locations and I'm waiting on a 12v POE splitter for another location. Male and female plugs allow existing 5.5x2.1mm 12v power to "pass through" the microphone before powering the camera. The actual microphone sensor is about ~ 7mm/0.25" in diameter and 32mm/1.25" length needs to be exposed in order access the sensitivity screw. Not reviewed: performance in windy conditions, long term usage (>5 days), direct exposure to water, or bug resistance (i.e. Mud daubers).

Worked great right out of the box! My camera is P.O.E. (power over ethernet) so I had to add a power supply but I knew that from the start. It has a gain adjustment but never touched it because it sounded great from the factory.

The product was useless to me. The product was supposed to connect to my ANNKE box to allow me to communicate with people on my property. I searched for the product on Amazon, putting in all necessary information from the camera equipment and it was only 2 microphones that were supposed to be compatible. Neither one worked and then the ANNKE Company told me that my box did not support the microphone and speaker although there is a connection on the back of my box for a microphone and speaker connection. It was money wasted on this product.

Ok well i first bought single mic in steel box.. loved it so much it made me buy another $299 security system because these mic's wich work better then the system itself.. I didn't even realize this was USA made company until arrival wich makes me want even more!!!:) Sorry back to mic's.. I then bought 2pk of each male and female mic w/o steel box because i have dome and "visor" camera's that can both hold/house these quiet small and VERY efficient mic's.. i thought i would need a mic for each cam but how efficient these work i only needed 1 mic for front and 1 for back wich accommodated front/sides/back of my 7,000 sqft property.. I could go on and on about these little mic's wich is enough alone but i will personally guarantee these will live up to my hype!! Must buy if u have security system or not because they also work awesome as standalone mic and very easy to hookup and hide if needed!! :)

I was expecting same poor quality AC sounding hum. I monitoring honey bees so low frequency performance is important. I don't have to use noise reduction at all! I ordered two. I might order two more. (Update 4/7/2024 Great unit. I can not not over express how good the audio quality from this mic is. I use it to stream and record Honey Bees. A wind muff made this superb even in the wind. Every other mic I have tried has a low hum/noise in the same frequency ranges as bee hums and buzzes. However, definitely not directly weather proof. Ran for an entire year of direct exposure. I have a second unit. This would work great inside a protective compartment. I think inside a void in a camera mount housing is the intent. I am looking for a little plastic tip and then going to dip it in silicone. Thinking of an angle I can drill in entrance reducer block of wood that slips in the front of hive. I ORDERED TWO MORE! )
