Harry Potter The Elder Wand with illuminating tip

Very good for a Halloween costume. My 4 yr old loves it. Light isn't too bright but still lights up the hallway. Needs an on/off switch for when not in use

My 8 year old grandson loved this wand and the book too. I gave him both items for a gift. It looks realistic, details were great and it worked perfectly when put together. I was concerned because of other reviewers having trouble. Not sure of battery life since we don’t live together but he was extremely happy with this gift. Value for money spent was good since it was a gift he really wanted.

As soon as this came in the mail I couldn’t wait to get it open. Having a HP wand that actually lights up is my happy place. I love this item so much bc I can actually use it in my day to day activities! It’s the perfect night light when waking up in the middle of the night and needing to take a trip to the bathroom…or kitchen. I simply wave my wand and the whole room is lit for me to find my way. I’ve also used it to dig around under my sinks looking for product. Fits nicely in my robe pocket too. The light is adjustable so you can make it as bright or soft as you need. Worth it!

This was a great prop for Halloween. The swish and flick/tap on/off was a little sensitive, but it worked great. My 5 year old loved it. The only real issue is turning cutting the power. You need a "key" to do it and that is just something extra to lose. For the price, there is nothing better.

My 9 year old son loves this wand. The box it comes in is made of cardboard but it is well made, colorful and glossy. The inside packaging of the box is a thin molded plastic with a coating of felt-like material. It's ok. The wand itself feels like it is made of some kind of plastic or resin which feels thick but still hollow. I'm not particularly fond of the required key to turn it on and off but even if lost, a small screwdriver should suffice. There are no clear indications or markings of whether the power is on or off, so it is easy to accidentally leave it on. The LED light is adequate for indoor or night time use/play. At 35 bucks for a stick with a mediocre light at the end, it should get 2 stars but it looks cool and my son loves it so it gets 4 stars.

I bought this wand for my 7 year old son who is a HUGE Harry Potter fan. I had previously bought a cheaper illuminating wand off ebay that came with an illuminating tip that I had no idea how to attach so we ended up just having a plain wand. This wand was worth the more expensive price. It lights up and shuts off with just a flick of the wrist. Yelling "Luminos" doesn't hurt either :) This wand does not have to be assembled. Just add batteries.

The wand is fun for my son to play with. He wanted an elder wand and the illumination tip is a plus. The only complaint would be that the tip is too responsive, i.e. place it in its box and then set it on the table and it will turn back on from setting it on the table so then you have to tap it again to turn it off. (I worry that it will turn on in the box and use up battery life. It would be nice to have an on-off switch so that it didn't light up by accident when not in use.) The plus side is that it really works to turn on with the flick of one's wrist. My kids think it is so cool!
