AvoDerm Natural Tuna & Crab Entrée in Gravy - Grain Free Wet Canned Cat Food 5 oz

Some cats are allergic to poultry. Mine is one of them. This is high-quality flaky-chunk fish with no chicken or chicken by-products. It isn't cheap, but I use 1/3 for my cat's dinner and supplement Muse Sailing with Salmon kibble for other meals of the day (does contain chicken, but it is tolerated well by my cat). My cat weights around 8.5 - 9 lbs. It is easy to keep her within this range. She is 3 years old. The vet says this is a perfect size for her. Also, the vet uses Avoderm when they're trying to get a cat to eat after an illness. My cat loves the taste and never gets tired of it.

Trying to find the right food that my 5 (formerly feral) indoor cats like, is like pulling teeth. If I could recoup the thousands of dollars (over the years) that we've spent on different cat foods - with hopes that they would finally like something - I'd be able to purchase a new car. With each new food purchase, we cross our fingers to determine what they'll love (or ignore). In the case of this AvoDerm Natural Grain Free Web Cat Food (the Tuna & Crab formula), all 5 loved it and polished off their dishes. Of course when this occurs, you begin to wonder how long it will be before they tire of this new flavor also. But in the meantime, they are loving this food. And of course, the true test comes if they'll eat something more than once. We've given it to them now 3 days in a row and they polished it all off - so YES!!!!!! Highly recommended (for now)...

Cats love the real crab and tuna flavor and it has a very high water content - good for the cats.

They stopped making this flavor :( . May be supply chain issues. Old November 19, 2019 review: Cats like it. Quality (so far knock on wood) has been great. I'll edit if we get a bad batch.

My 4 cats love it, although I wish the chunks inside were smaller have to chop it up for them, very expensive that is why the 4 stars.

This is truly the only wet cat food I will buy for my cats from now on. I frequently tell people that my cats eat better than the humans in this house and with this food it is true. Instead of weird looking processed chunks of random meat-like substance I can see actual pieces of tuna and crab. The cats love the gravy as well. Out of 4 cats who never cared for much wet food at all I now have all 4 running to their bowls when they hear me open the food cans.

We can't find a reliable local source, so we're going on our third case now. Our cat is picky as all hell (when it comes to wet food). But she will devour this every time, day after day, can after can. She was a stray and a bit underweight when we adopted her, and since eating this food she's packed on 6oz of solid muscle! And like many have pointed out, it's not smelly like most canned food. This stuff is the bomb!

My cat loves the AvoDerm tuna and crab cat food. It's the only type that he actually finishes completely. With other brands/flavors he never completely finishes his bowl. This type of cat food does tend to have large chunks of tuna in it so if your cat is adverse to chunky food this probably would not be a good fit. My cat's coat has also improved since I started feeding him AvoDerm.
