I grabbed these for a speakeasy-themed room I’m putting together, mostly just wanted something fun on the table. Didn’t expect much beyond “looks cool.” Then I turned the lights on. The black cards under moody colored lighting with the reflection off a wood surface? Genuinely stunning. They photograph beautifully too, which I wasn’t even thinking about when I bought them. The cards themselves are solid and sleek, feel more substantial than a regular deck. You can tell they’re well made. One honest note though: the case they come in is pretty flimsy. Thin plastic, nothing special. If you’re buying these for travel or regular use and you want to keep them protected, I’d grab a separate card box or tin. For display purposes it doesn’t matter at all since mine haven’t been near that case since day one. If your only goal is display or atmosphere, it’s a 10/10 no question. Just go in knowing the packaging doesn’t match the quality of the cards themselves.

Also, in low light, the black background can make the numbers slightly harder to see compared to traditional cards. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase. Great for casual games or as a stylish deck, just not perfect for every situation. Would recommend if you want something unique.

My son loved these cards. The feel and texture were almost plastic like so you were confident that the cards were actually waterproof and rip resistant. The black color with the gold print gave them a level of sophistication that I haven’t seen achieved in cards before. They are a great gift or addition to your own collection. I was very impressed. They were very easy to read as the color contrast was perfect. They cost the same as other cards and they will last forever if you don’t lose any. We enjoyed playing with them, it took a few round to break them in for shuffling, but that’s true of most cards.

These feel good and look great. Waterproof and washable means I can stop worrying about snacky-dust on fingers, and the texture is sufficient to prevent sticking together. But the edges... the backs delaminate just a little when the edges encounter something solid like a fingernail or even the edge of another card. They're going to get dinged-up, just like paper cards do. When one mark is bad enough to appear unique, I'll throw them out like paper cards... good that they're cheaper than really nice paper cards. Shuffling with them is lovely and they don't hold a bend - they stay flat. Not easy to read in low light but anything above that they're very crisp and clear.
