All-Metal! Well-Made!! Securely Fastened!!!
Fantastic addition to a mic stand! • sturdy (no jiggling) • well-made (all metal) • extremely handy I didn’t intentionally set out to purchase one of these, but after adding a Gatorworks mic stand to my cart, this accessory came up in the “customers also purchased” section. So thank you fellow Amazonians for also purchasing one of these! SIZE: I went with the 9” x 9” size for two main reasons: 1.) convenient size capable of holding all those little playing essentials like capos, picks, etc, but could also still be used to hold things like an iPad for lyrics or watching instructional videos or using a looper app, or for holding a couple of pedals I like to frequently adjust. STURDINESS: 2.) Sturdiness. I felt smaller was better as I didn’t want it getting in the way whenever I had a big acoustic guitar in front of me, but also because of the worry-free peace of mind you get when something is securely fastened, doesn’t wobble or jiggle, and doesn’t leave you wondering if the weight of it (and whatever it holds) is going to cause to Great of imbalance to a mic stand, or worse... come crashing down, potentially ruining valuable pedals or devices, etc. QUALITY: Though plastic would’ve been lighter, this things feels very well made as the only plastic I can find on it is the twist lever on the tightening clamp. The only shortcoming I can see is the fact the clamp itself is entirely metal. Would’ve been nice if they would’ve added some sort of rubber coating or padding to the inside of the clamp so as not to scratch or damage whatever it’s clamped to, but... easy enough fix. I simply cut up a small piece of black rubber (used for lining the bottom of toolboxes) just to protect my mic stand.

Good Stable Tray
Perfect for a music stand. Stable and holds enough stuff that I need now and then, picks, tuner, capo etc. without being overly large and in the way. Also holds a small cup. It's a bit more money then some of the other ones but I think this one is worth every penny just for its stability.

Perfect for light weight accessories!
I know this is marketed as a microphone stand shelf, but I attached mine to a music stand. This is a great shelf to hold my banjo accessories. If attaching to a music stand, make sure it has a substantial post. It would not work with the thin $12 fold up style stands that have a tiny vertical post. I have been bothered with pens, picks, tuners, capos, and other small odds and ends cluttering up my music stand. When I turn a page in a book or spread out sheet music, these items really got in the way. Other reviews have complained about the shelf not being level. To my eye, it is spot on level - no complaints and very secure. The shelf itself is made out of a lightweight plastic mounted to a thick steel clamp which will serve my purposes well. The plastic is so hard, I believe if the stand would fall over, the shelf would chip, crack, or shatter. So if you have kids that run around knocking over your stuff, you might want to consider this before you buy. Do not over tighten the two locknuts during assembly, this could crack the shelf. As other have done, I placed a flat washer under the clamp (opposite the locknuts) for added support. The clamping mechanism is well thought out and includes a pre-installed foam/rubber strip to protect the stand it is attached to (shown in one of my photos). The protective piece on the end of the threads that presses into the stand when you turn the clamp is a very hard plastic. I have had it on and off a few times and did not mar or break through the paint. If I had one complaint, I would have preferred a slightly softer material here but that may have introduced some flex in the shelf if loaded with heavier items. I recommend not to set anything heavy on this shelf but it is plenty strong for cell phones, keys, a regular size drink, or other lightweight items a musician may need at the ready. If you are a traveling musician, this shelf takes a bit of time to install and remove because you have to spin the thumbscrew many times to back out the threads completely to loosen the clamp enough to clear and remove the shelf off of the post. My stand stays at my house and is never broken down so this is a non-issue for me.

Strong well made .
Excellent quality steel with a very good connection . Holds on to the stand perfectly without scratching for people like myself with more expensive microphone stands. I use it in my vocal booth to hold my faderport DAW controller so I'm able to record vocals without having to leave the booth. I have a small 2nd monitor hanging in front of me in the booth. Works out great. I'm gonna get a 2nd one to hold a beer or 3 while I'm tracking. This thing will hold a 6 pack no problem. I also have their monitor desktop stands which are phenomenal . That's why I bought this because I was really impressed with the quality of those stands. Price is the only one in it range for both that I saw. You are not compromising any quality with their low prices.

Very NICE!
I attach this to my mic stand when our group performs. It keeps my tea/picks/ capo etc...within easy reach and also very sturdy. don't have to reach for the floor anymore to pick up anything. I also use it for my set list. Although it is a small tray, my set lists will fit if I fold them in 1/2. The ONLY reason I didn't give it 5 stars? It takes a little maneuvering to get on and off the mic. stand. I feel this could be improved... maybe a press down clamp instead of the present screw attachment?

I LOVE IT!
I'm a professional keyboard player and there is not always a place to set my beverage or phone while I'm on stage. This fits the bill perfectly. I simply attached it to a miniature speaker stand, I have, set it next to me on stage and there ya go. Very convenient!

So simple yet so helpful
Why didn’t I think of that?! This thing is great for gigs and even better for practice. Cup holder for your drink and just enough area for phone, capo, picks, or anything else you need while playing.

I've been searching for this tray for a really really long time. Finally watched a review on YouTube on a mobile PA set up and the reviewer mentioned the brand. This tray is really really good. Heavy & sturdy. The screw mount looks thin & fragile but it's solid stable. This tray itself is heavy good which adds to the stability. That being said, don't put anything excessively heavy. I don't regret this purchase although it went out of my budget slightly
