Warhammer Middle Earth - Mordor Orcs

This product arrived in a timely fashion, it was a reasonable price, and it arrived undamaged. As for the kit itself, it is 24 models, two of each unique model with a few archers, some polearm wielders, and some sword/shield bearers. I do not play the Middle Earth Strategy Battle game. I purchased these because it seemed like a good way to get a large number of orc minis for a D&D game and I thought they would be fun to paint. I was correct on both accounts. I will say, these orcs are smaller than I expected. They are slightly smaller than most 28 mm scale human minis I own. Compared to a Warhammer orc, these are very small, however the sculpts are cool and overall this is a great product!

Purchased as a gift: and he says that the detail is better than he expected. He's pleasantly surprised, and I'm thrilled that he enjoys it.

First off, I don’t play the MESBG. I just bought these to get a good amount of orcs miniatures to use for other games like D&D, so my review will be based on the quality of the miniatures and not the game. If this cost around $15-$20 it would be a good value for what you get but at $50+ I’d recommend just passing on this and searching out some better alternatives. Not only are the miniatures noticeably small compared to most D&D minis but they come on sprues to assemble and are just lightweight and cheap feeling once assembled. I know people love to say GW has the best minis but I’m not impressed. Just a giant pain in the butt to get table ready and painting them was more of a chore than anything else. To sum it up, if you aren’t going to play the MESBG with these I wouldn’t recommend them. If you are, you’ll probably be fine with your purchase.

These are great classic LOTR orcs, but they are definitely 25mm. So if you are mixing and matching with other minis, they may make better goblins than orcs.

These figurines are shown to be painted. They are all base gray plastic. Same quality as dollar store army men. They're all connected and have to be popped loose like a model car or airplane kits. For the price, they are a HUGE rip off. Only got them as gifts because they are official LoTR merch. I actually thought they were like metal chess pieces. Nope, cheap plastics.

I see a lot of reviews in here complaining that the figures were unpainted, too small, cheap plastic, etc. These are miniatures created specifically for Games Workshop’s Middle Earth Game. These are not random toys, chess pieces, etc. They have a specific purpose for which they are very well suited. The figures are true 28mm scale (yes, some are 25mm but that means they are correct for a scale where a 6’ human is 28mm tall). GW has deliberately set their trooper scale for their common soldiers in this game at 28mm while their heroes and individual metal cast miniatures are at 32mm scale. This was a deliberate design choice (I don’t agree with it myself, but no one is trying to cheat you out of tall orcs). This set provides a good slog of bad guys for the MESBG. They are well detailed and durable. They will survive clumsy tabletop play and paint up nicely. I dock a star for the bizarre scale shift between plastics and metal minis. If you buy this set beware that you are buying a set of miniatures made for a specific purpose and not just toys for random fans and should be judged based on that. Like all GW things, they are expensive but if you are buying this particular box you should already be aware that GW caters to a niche hobby and this particular set falls well within the expectations of their audience. Please take the time to read the item description where it says specifically that assembly is required, items are unpainted, etc. instead of giving this 1star because you were too lazy to read about what you were buying.

These Citadel Figures are of a very high standard. As usual Games Workshop delivers the very very high product standard that you will expect . Easy to put together and fun to paint, these will look fantastic in anyone's Miniature collection.

Figurines détaillées, prêtes à être peintes et/ou pour jouer. 24 figurines d'Orcs du Mordor avec des armes différentes. 12 paires de figurines similaires. De quoi garnir votre armée sur le plateau de jeu ou reconstituer des batailles du film. Je recommande pour tous les fans de Warhammer ou de peinture de figurines, surtout bien sûr les mordus du Seigneur des Anneaux.

Die Figuren waren von schlechter Qualität und der Karton war beschädigt. Eine Erstattung habe ich trotz Rücksendung nicht erhalten!
