The classic slotted collar and stitching keep a sophisticated feel with this iconic, casual look. Sebago's Spinnaker brings a new twist to the classic boat style. Vibrant colors make this standard shoe pop, while its classic slotted collar and stitching keep a sophisticated feel. A padded footbed and grippy rubber sole add practicality so that you can set sail in style. Excellent Quality Shoe
I worked for Sebago Inc. from 1988-1995 and have owned over 90+ pairs of Sebago shoes, as well as given away tons for gifts and never had one complaint with size or comfort. I may be a little bias but the boat shoes or "Docksiders" as we called them, were all hand stitched and made from absolutely beautiful quality leather. I worked in the International Marketing Dept., so I was fortunate to be able to see many of the styles and colors produced for the European markets, especially France, but not sold in the US markets. The pattern makers had tons of opportunity to experiment and perfect their abilities, which only added to the excellence in quality that Sebago has always been famous for. Sebago has been sold since I worked there, but when I see them in stores I can't resist picking them up and checking out the quality to see if still deserves to have the label Sebago on it, and so far they still appear to be of the same quality that I remember from the Maine hand stitchers work. When you first wear the leather it may seem to be a bit stiff, but the owners and much of the higher management were huge catamaran racers, so they use to tell us to get them wet, preferably in salt water, and they will form to your feet, afterall they are boat shoes. I used to wear mine into the water all the time and they dry out pretty quickly. I still have my blue suede and brown leather docksiders and they fit like a glove. They also look almost as good as the day I bought them and they are 26 years old. Best shoes I ever owned.

No longer a Sperry fan-boy.
I have owned 3 pairs of Sperry's in the past, so when I went to replace my last pair I obviously went on the search for another pair. I ran across these and really liked the tan/tan color combo so I decided to take the chance (and just return them if they were not up to standards), believe me when I say I'm glad I did! I have owned these for about 3 weeks now and wear them just about every day and have had issues with them at all. The build quality seems to be about the same as Sperry's, but the leather seems to be thicker and more 'vibrant' than my past Sperry's.The biggest thing for me though is the insole, Sperry's typically have a regular fabric insole with no ventilation, which always seemed silly to me for a shoe that is meant to be worn without socks (sweat gets trapped and breaks down the adhesive). The Sebago's on the other hand use what appears to be a leather/cork/similar material with large ventilation holes. Now, I haven't worn these long enough to know how they will hold up in comparisonโ, but it seems like the perfect solution to my only gripe with Sperry's.

UPDATE: Amazon was quick to credit my account. I have since ordered two more pairs of the Docksider Spinnaker boat shoeand they are a great value for the prices I paid: $49 for the last pair and $62 for the prior. The price disparities on Amazoncontinue to benefit a comparative shopper, as sales of 80% or more are possible, and 40 - 50% routine on a myriad of products. This is especially true with clothing and shoes, given that certain sizes and colors which are popular can cost more than three to four the price of the same exact item in a less popular color or size. When one considers that oneu can purchase three items for the price one, these savings (especially in these difficult economic times)are truly significant.UPDATE: I recently ordered another pair of these Docksiders, however, they were never delivered. According to some other Amazon customers, Amazon is now using its own delivery service to deliver certain products that are ordered through its Website. A number of Amazon users reported that they never received the products which they ordered under this deliveryservice. When contacted, Amazon representatives apologized for delays. However, in far too many instancesthe packages shipped by Amazon through this service weren't just delayed; they never arrived at all.So until Amazon can straighten this situation out, caveat emptor.I have owned these Sebagos for slightly over a year now and they have stood up very well. The suededye initially bleeds through if it gets wet. (Keep this in mind for all suede shoes you purchase) A few pairs of white socks had blue streaks running through them after the Sebagos got wet. However, the problem appears to have cleared up after the initial bleed through.Apart from this caveat, these boat shoes have stood up well. I wear them daily. Years ago I bought a pairof Sperry Topsiders once a year, and wore them several times a week. By the end of a year they were fallingapart. The Sebagos appear to be better stitched. The blue suede has faded a bit, however, I may be ableto darken it with some suede cleaner. The leather continues to hold up well.I paid about $78 for these shoes on Amazon last year and just purchased a second pair of the exact same shoe foron Amazon for about $20 less. With the way prices for products on Amazon fluctuate, it pays to comparison shop before you make your purchase. If you are thinking about purchasing a product on Amazon, track it for a week or so. You might be surprised how much the price for the same product can fluctuate; either saving as much as 50%, or costing you significantly more.Earlier..Very comfortable shoes. Nice and light, with good support. And very pleasant looking.

As Good as it gets
I am very delighted with the quality, I have been wearing Sebago Docksides for 30 years and they wear like iron + still have the leather insole + they breath better and have a nice size toe box and are the absolute best quality boat shoe on the market PERIOD! the look, feel + quality of construction is exactly the same as my first pair, These new ones no longer say "Made in the USA" on the insole nor on the box any longer as they are manufactured (sewn) in the Dominican Republic, but rest assured the quality of the leather, etc, is exactly the same as they always have been, I liked the new pair so much, that I ordered (2) more pair in other colors, and I an so happy that I can still get the same quality that existed when I was a young lad, "you get what you pay for" with Sebago Docksides, 5 Stars all the way!

Excellent shoes.
Really comfortable, now that Sebago has inserted a slightly cushioned footbed. I have several pairs of Sebago Docksides/Spinnaker and find these consistently to be the most comfortable and durable shoes of this type, whilst being discreetly tasteful in style.

Very good quality
Received the ordered shoes within a few days. The quality is as expected, very good. As expected a basic shoe in good quality leather, no fantasies or comfortable inner shoe which will break. These are strong. I tried other makes, but returned to these. Sebago is a good investment, the whole range.

Not sure these are legitimate Sebago
I bought these from Amazon and the colour faded very quickly, to be fair Amazon replaced them for me & I put it down to a bad pair. The same thing has happened with the replacement, I also got them very slightly wet (they are boat shoes after all) and the blue dye ran out of them and stained my feet. Not had this problem with any other Sebago's purchased elsewhere..

Wrong ones sent
Hi There,I had to return the Sebago Spinnaker Docksides as they were pictured and listed as being the Nubuck material however when they came they were full leather.I didn't order full leather on purpose because they rub. In the picture you can see the nubuck material and you have also listed them asSebago Spinnaker, Men Boat Shoes, Blue (Navy Nbk/Brown Lea), 7.5 UK (40 1/2 EU)So I expected them to be the navy part Nubuck (as pictured) and the brown part leather.I would like the exact ones in the picture and description if you have it please.I am moving country soon and need them ASAP so I hope to hear from you soon.Kind RegardsCarla Collins

My dad will love his Christmas gift!
Bought this for my Dad's Christmas gift which i know he is going to love! He has always been a fan of Sebago shoes and needed to replace his old pair which he's had for years. Quality looks great, stylish, my dad has wide feet so hope this will fit him but i'm sure the leather will expand once worn a couple of times. Only thing I would say to improve on is the packaging as it's a nice looking box but arrived with a couple of dents around it as it was only delivered in a mail bag. Apart from that, I'm happy with my purchase!

quality classic boat shoe
Arrived the next morning to my surprise!!! perfect fit and just as stated in description. A very nice quality, classic shoe bought for 18 year old son who only has one pair of casual shoes which are so worn out they will now go into bin! He will wear these for years hopefully and they will look even better as they age. Impossible to get him to a shop so this worked well.

The colour of the navy is more like a green rather than the navy on the photo
The colour of the navy is more like a green rather than the navy on the photo. I think they have a photo than what is the actual colour.I think they should check all their colours and photos again.
