Korean Made Simple Workbook #1

I follow GoBilly Learn Korean on YouTube and online and absolutely love his teaching and methods, as well as the encouragement for a language that seemed impossible to start learning. I love the the books and content, the only negative I would say is that I'm older and eye sight not stellar, and the text in the book for answers and quizzes are very light and itty bitty so makes it difficult for me. Also , they don't believe in Romanization and I completely understand, but I learn better not just hearing but seeing and it would have been helpful if these books continued just through the beginner phase until I get proficient (well somewhat) with the sounds etc. Other than that, love love love and received quickly!

Wow this workbook is so awesome! I already have Billy’s three textbooks, and this workbook is the first textbook’s counterpart. While Billy’s textbooks already have practice exercises, I completely recommend buying this because it goes more in depth with each chapter and your educational journey with Korean. I have such a better understanding of each chapter with this workbook; it gives you more room to really practice the contents of each chapter. This workbook and Billy’s other books are so worth buying because you will be better off with your Korean because of it! Thank you so much Billy! I look forward to your next books!

I started watching Learn Korean with Go! Billy on YouTube and really loved how he teaches Korean. I was hesitant on getting this book and the Korean Made Simple book, thinking I was getting enough from the videos. I cannot recommend these books enough! There is so much more to study and practice and it has helped me greatly to really start understanding the language. The information is laid out well in each section and explained in detail. If you're thinking about the Korean Made Simple books/workbooks and not sure, JUST GET THEM!!! They are absolutely worth the investment. Plus there are audio files that can be downloaded to go along with the books.

This is my first book for learning. The chapters are short and sweet, and everything is explained and introduced in a very easy way to understand.

If you have no idea what you're doing and need basics. This guy learned Korean and is now teaching people who don't know how to speak Korean the language. He's been through what he's teaching. He also has a TON of free content on his website! I love Go!Billy. This workbook is paired with his text book and has plenty of lessens to practice.

Im not done with this book im on page 66 right now. BUT! I love it so far. I dont have to got to the back of the nook for the ansers, theres enough space to write my answers. And it follows the textbook to the T. The inly complaint is theres no list of concepts at the end or beginning of each chapter. You have to go back to the textbook to review a word you've forgotten. I guess thats the point since its a companion but id like a brief summary or list of whats been learned in the chapter connected to the textbook. Again, preference-- I wont take a star off because the workbook is a reinforcer of the textbook. Ideally, i think, you'd study the textbook and then test yourself with the workbook.

Love this book, still have it. Makes learning really easy!

I love that it is simple and easy to understand. I pair with his you tube videos. He makes it fun and interesting. Highly recommend it.

I try to learn by my own. No teacher, no classes. I rely on the book 100%. This is the book I tried to start my learning from. For me the lessons are too packed. Too much material in one lesson. Too little execrices. In one lesson based on one short dialogue you'll be faced with several different grammar points, a lot of vocab and then a list of more vocab that is nowhere used. The grammar is explained in one or two example sentences and that's it. Move on. Next lesson new material. More and more. No room for repetition, no room for consolidation. I tried to work on it, but it was not very effective, it was too hard, discouraging. Even if I learned something I soon forgot it because it's nowhere repeated, and I was already tried to learn tonnes of new stuff. Overload. I'll probably come back to it now, when I worked though a few other books that gave me the secure basics, and we'll see how it goes. I wouldn't recommend it as your first book to start with, though.
