Great Rosin
This cello rosin hits the perfect sweet spot, offering excellent grip and stickiness without feeling gummy or overly tacky on the strings. It provides a great tone and reliable performance, making it an amazing value for the money. Additionally, the plastic case is excellent,it opens and closes smoothly while keeping the rosin well-protected.

My favorite rosin!
Right way my husband noticed the tone and volume had increased. The dark rosin has a deep tone for my violin. Also, I like the way I can rotate the rosin so I don’t get a grove. The case is stron and easy to open and protects the rosin from breakage. This is my rosin of choice.

Worth the pricetag
Good stuff. Never tried dark rosin before but my cello definitely sounds great now.

It's a good rosin
So, I've done a bit of experimentation with rosins. I rate this 4 stars after trying a more upmarket rosin. The big difference to me is the start of the bow movement. The upmarket rosin has a softer start. Meaning it is smoother when you start playing. At the frog end, with a little too much pressure it is a little "grindy" when you start, you almost have to have the bow moving before you touch the string for a smooth sound. It may well be my skill level, and I am not saying it isn't but I can try and reproduce the grinding noise with the upmarket rosin and it doesn't do it. But after a bit of a rough start sometimes - it sounds very good. It offers good string feedback while bowing. It can get a nice rich sound out of the lower strings. There is a lot to like. Now on to the killer feature - the holder it is awesome, probably the best on the market.

Nice box with high quality
This rosin comes in a beautiful, well-made box that gives it a premium feel. It is compact and fits perfectly in my violin case.

Comes highly recommended by instructors.
10 out of 10. This was recommended by both public and private instructors for my son, who plays the cello. This has been one of the few brands we trust. He has been using this for the last decade with no issues. I appreciate the case as well! If you are looking for a decent affordable rosin for your stringed instrument- this is the one I will forever recommend.

Perfect for synthetic violin bow
This is great for my synthetic violin bow [the light rosin just didn’t take]. After about 10x rubs ..my bow is connecting with the stings beautifully. Love the design of the case and the rotation option.

My bow loves it
Seasoned musician, new violinist. I can only compare this to the rosin that came bundled with my violin outfit, but I can already tell that this stuff is way better. My bow feels cleaner and I'm getting a more consistent sound. The case is pretty awesome. The dial to rotate the rosin is genius, and the case also adds a nice grip for applying. I will say that it took a looong time to get it going at first. Granted it was on a new bow, but my previous bow only took about 2 minutes with the junky rosin. Not sure if the change in rosin or change in bow made the difference. It probably took a little over 10 minutes to really start feeling the rosin catching. At first I gave it a couple of scratches to get under the shiny parts, but eventually I took some sandpaper to it. That seemed to work well. Now it goes on easy every time. Not sure if there's a difference between the light and dark rosin, but I like the look of the dark stuff better. I use a lot of D'Addario products for other instruments and they haven't let me down yet.
