Have used Powerman 3 before - a good device but puts a strain on neck and shoulders. Is the Isokinator better in that respect?

I do not know what a Powerman 3 is. As far as the Isokinator goes, there is no real strain on any part of your body. It is CHALLENGING, but no strain. It is isotonic; muscle groups batlling one another. You are in control. There is an exercise for your entire back which you may consider 'straining', but frankly this exercise we should (I should :)) be doing daily! The Isokinator (if you follow the manual instructions!) will give you a VERY solid workout. I hope this helps. Good Luck.

Apart from the obvious difference in resistance settings between the Green Giant and the Classic model, are there any other differences of note?

All devices are basically the same. The Green Giant has twice as much resistance. All differences are only technical features to produce this greater resistance. This device is therefore a bit thicker and heavier.

Will you loose weight?

Yes, you will burn a lot of calories. This makes you loosing fat. That's the so called "bad" weight. On the other side you build up muscle mass. If you are thin at the beginning your weight can increase. But that's positive and wanted.
