Will this drive read PS1 and PS2 disks?

After i installed the drive it makes clicking sounds,sometimes really loud and don't accept disks. what do i need to do?

Sounds like the track is just a tad bit off. Best way to resolve this issue is to remove the metal case. Then on the top of the drive use a precision screwdriver to remove the screws that hold down the top of the drive. After removing the screws just lift straight up on the top this will reset the position of the track. Now for the bottom reset the position of the gears to the open position. You will know when its in the open position when there are no tabs standing up where the disc is inserted. When this is completed just reassemble. Finally test the drive before putting the metal top and bottom back on. Hope this helps Don

Will this fit the ps3 fat ceche01?

I have the 60gb fully backwards compatible to ps one ps3. So, if that's the one you have then probably yes.

Does this come with ribbon cables? Mine seem to be broken. If not, which cables should I buy to pair with this?

You have to connect the existing ribbon cables to the new drive. I don't know where to get new ribbons though. Sorry.
