Luckily, it was just about time to replace my cleats when I bought these so I installed my old cleats onto these pedal adapters and saved some money there. Used them twice already and the platform is large and grippy. Rode over to the coffee shop a mile and a half away and didn't need to clunk around on cycling shoes. Sure, the pedals point down since they are heavy, but it's inevitable. Take a moment to get a good footing and you're fine for until you need to stop again. I highly recommend these. It increases your bike's usability tremendously. Review: I used to wonder why no one made a product like this, now I know why no one does. - I used to wonder why no one made a product like this, now I know why. The Idea is neat. I love look delta pedals and have them on all my road bikes. I though this would be a nice option for short rides and running to the store. On vacation I could leave the pedal wrench, and second pedals home as an options to short rides to the beach. But they are not a good option. 1) the Pedals are way to heavy and flipped over. All pedals do this, but the weight is so high that they flip fast and are hard to use. Very clumsy. 2) The platform is too grippy. With sneakers, the pedal constantly un-clipped. One 10 mile ride, they kept un-clipping every time I tried to stand. I kept pressure on them so they would not flip over and the show would not slide on the pedal. The Pedals are Dura- Ace, and the cleats are pretty worn but still it did not feel safe in traffic. I took them off and rode home on the look platform. buy a good pedal wrench and some cheap platform pedals instead. Dual sided SPD's are a lot better option for SPD users. Off to Ebay wiht them

good but semi difficult to get you for on the pedal right
Ok. I like these and really like the idea. They are well made and easy to install but they need to be rear weighted. When your foot it's not on the pedal they flip upside down. If they were vertical it would be easier to get your foot back on the pedal. I'd give them 3.5 as it stands now.

Make sure you are aware of the requirements
Hm, not what i thought they would be. They lok cool and the video makes them seem easy to use, on arrival they look super durable and compact. However I guess I didn't read through the requirement details before I ordered them (two pair, one for me and one for hubs) and apparently you have to buy another set of cleats for these to work! that made it way too expensive of an option. I went with the Speedplay pedal adapters instead for a fraction of the cost (since we both have speedplay clipless). Yes they are plastic and small, but for occasional use it's much easier to justify the low cost.

Exactly what I needed.
These bad boys honestly work great! They were easy to install with my Shimano cleats and I'm not good at installing anything, so that was a pleasant surprise. This is a perfect example of a product that I didn't know I needed and now I'm not sure how I can survive with out them. They make being a cyclist much more manageable day to day. You win this round, Fly Pedals, you win this round. I plan to buy another set for my road bike.

Recommended but spring for the new and improved pedals from the same company.
The product works just as described. I think the better option would be their newer and improved design because they are lighter. These are pretty heavy even though they appear to be constructed of aluminum. Because of the weight, the side of the peddle you would like to place your foot on is turned upside down. It is tricky getting them right-side up. Aside from that minor gripe I have none.

Worst Platforms EVER
I would leave a zero star rating if I could. These platforms are horrible. Because of the weight, the platform is under the pedal when my foot is not on it. They are almost impossible to flip over. When I get them flipped over I only have my toes on them. Half the time when I try to slide my foot up, the pedal flips. If you don't apply pressure directly over the pedal shaft, the pedal will flip under pressure of my foot. I almost crashed in the middle of an intersection this morning because of these things. They go in the trash at noon.

Best product of their type
These are a bit more expensive than other pedal adapters, but if you want your pedals to last they are worth the money. I used mine for SPD pedals. They are easy to install and stay on well. It's nice to be able to ride with whatever shoes I happen to have on for less serious rides. My only complaint is that their weight causes the pedals to end up down. You can't fight gravity though.
