The Buffer Gets the Job Done.
The AVID POWER Dual Action Car Buffer Polisher is a 6-inch orbital polisher explicitly designed for car detailing. It features six variable speed settings, a detachable handle, and three polishing pads, making it a comprehensive buffing system. I used this buffer on my car and was impressed with the results. The speed settings range from very low to high, allowing it to tackle tough imperfections and deliver a brilliant shine effectively. Assembling the product is straightforward, as all necessary tools are included in the package. The three polishing pads provided are versatile and suitable for addressing various issues. This buffer is user-friendly and performs well at any speed. Given its features and performance, it offers excellent value for the price. I highly recommend and rate this product a perfect ten out of ten.

Perfect for the price, worked right out of the box
Perfect weight and balance, the variable speed is amazing, it goes from gentle dual action to hold on baby with two hands. I use it on my vehicles, both Toyotas. IF you are up to speed on what colored pads do what when it comes you polishing and waxing (polishing for perfection, wax for protection) this devise is a must have if you are passionate about maintaining your vehicles paint job. You could spend more money, but then your just paying for the name. This does fantastic for the price, every week usage for 2 month, not a single problem. Also you can purchase on amazon different size diameter agitating heads if the 6 inch head is to much diameter.

Probably the best authentic dual action polisher for the money
Jury still out, but researched real DA Polishers and this was the best for the money. Cheaper Chinese ones I strayed away from, this is probably Chinese but better quality. Seems loud, has real Dual Action Orbital rotation so good for beginners like me. Pads are about another $20 if you buy Harbor Freights cheapest DA polisher for $65. I am pretty sure this will work well and I've got several cars I like to maintain mechanically as well as the paint job.

Donโt be afraid of buffing your own car
Iโve never used a buffer before. Ever. But my truck needed it badly. I had never had it done in the 9 yrs I owned the truck. Itโs black paint and scratched to hell. Figured Iโd rather learn how to do it instead of paying big money every time. Checked out the reviews and this buffer seems to be the one for me. Dual action is allegedly the way to go and the price and reviews were great. I watched several YouTube videos to get a feel for how people showed how to use it. Seemed fairly straightforward so I gave it a go. Very impressed with results. The attached photos show the before and after of one section of drivers door. The finished photo looks a lot better than it does with naked eye. Iโve still got some scratches in there but this is a vast improvement. Itโs fairly easy to operate. Just do small manageable sections and work slow. Watching the videos definitely helped but this product operated without any issues at all. I didnโt think it was as loud as others say but I wore ear protection because I always do for mowing lawn and thingsโฆits just wise. The buffer is much heavier that it looks like it would be but the handle help heft and hold. If I had any complaint at all Iโd say the speed settings dial doesnโt click into each position.. but it didnโt seem to vibrate itself out of position so I guess itโs not a big deal. Certainly would recommend it to anyone looking to buy. Donโt be afraid of trying one. Your not going to burn through your paint. I think youโd have to hold it in one spot for a long time to do that kind of damage.

Great starter system for detailing your car and keeping it looking great
This is my first attempt at detailing. Works very well, car looks like new. I did a clay bar, then the compound, polish, and finally wax. Gave it 5 stars, only a couple of negatives. Where the speed settings is located in the handle it is difficult to adjust the speed once you turn it on. You can't see the speed with out lifting it off the car, which u don't want to do. But after you you use it for a while u kinda guess the speed by how much vibration you have. So all in all this is a great starter for someone doing their own car and does not want to invest a lot of money. You get three pads, but u will need more lol. Ask around and find the place where the car detailers buy their stuff. It is not at your local auto parts store.

Great little buffer
This buffer I purchased for a friend, I have one just like it that I have used for several years and it does great. Not a professional buffer, but definitely stands up to the weekend Warriors. It also has variable speed and orbital to keep from burning the paint. Which is easy to do with the larger size buffer or even the small ones without it being orbital.

Loud and vibrates a lot!
If you look at the package as a whole, then it's not a bad value for the price, especially for someone who's just getting started. That said, however, compared to a major brand buffer, it falls short (IMHO). It comes with everything that a would-be detailer would need to get started, except for the actual products. The pads, which I did not use, seem okay, though far from top-rate, though not necessarily a negative because if you're new to this, then the actual quality of the pads might not matter as much to you. Put this way: these pads aren't the best ones out there, but they'll get the job done and won't harm your vehicle. I was surprise by how loud it was, even on a relatively low setting of 4, and it vibrated so much as to be uncomfortable, like using a jackhammer, even on a flat surface. I also wish the cord was a little longer, but I must admit that the cord on this one is longer than most. I can hardly complain about those things, I suppose, as you get what you pay for, and what it DID show me is I'm better served buying something better. After using this, I immediately bought the Griot's Garage 6" Random Orbital Buffer with a 25' cord.

Works well
I like the variable speed. I would prefer to turn off the orbital option and just use the straight polisher. However, the orbital sander will work well with wood working projects. Right now I am using it to clean and wax my 5th wheel. Started on it today. I have some pretty good wax build up on the surface. I am sure the build up of wax will give me problems. So far the cutting orange pad application pad gets dirty very fast and leaves some pretty good marks. After I applied the cleaner and the used the black pad which did not take off the streaks. I had to wipe those off with a clean rag. You can not apply any pressure because the motor bogs down very easy. I was using the top speed to buff with the black pad. I used the mid range 3 for applying the cleaner and wax. I don't think the rpms get near the 6400 or so at the top speed setting. The weight is decent for the size of polisher. I can hold it with one hand and hold onto the ladder with the other. The pad really adheres to the backing pad very nice. I thought maybe this would be a problem but so far it has not been an issue. It has an on and off switch. You can push the switch on and you don't have to press a hold button at the same time. The dial on the handle adjusts the rotation speed. I'll get more experience in using it as a polisher and also using the different pads. Maybe have to clean the pad very often. I think I saw one of the reviews where a person was using a cloth bonnet and he had to change the cloth bonnet very often because it became dirty very fast. This tool will really work well on my wood working projects especially the lathe. I will run this sander and run the lathe and it should really create a super smooth surface. It will take me a while to clean and wax the RV but don't have a whole lot of things pushing me since I am snowbirding in the South and need something to do rather than the mundane activities around the RV park.

Worked extremely well, I'm impressed so far
I know it's very early to do a review as it only arrived today (September 30, 2023), but I put it straight to work. I spent close to 4 hours washing and compounding my 11 year old minivan, it was in pretty rough shape as it was never taken care of for 9 years and was gifted to me by my daughter after my car got destroyed by a tornado. After a lot of mechanical, body work and headlight restoration, getting the paintwork up together was the final stage. I did a fair bit of research on different random orbit polishers from different manufacturers and decided to give this one a try because of the good reviews on YouTube. I originally looked at the Porter Cable DA polisher but at almost 3 times the cost and 1/2 amp less power than this one, I decided against it. I have never used a random orbital polisher before so didn't want to spend a lot of money on something I didn't know that I would like and found this one was also on sale. I like that it comes with a spare set of brushes, 3 pads, 1 each for cutting, polishing and waxing, and they seem to be of decent quality. I used the orange cutting pad with Maguiars Ultimate Compound after washing, decontaminating and drying the paint. I also used a couple of squirts of water on the pad from time to time just to stop it from drying out and to keep it lubricated. The results were amazing as it removed 90% of the scratches and swirl marks and all of the oxidation, tomorrow I will use Maguiars Ultimate Polish to remove the last traces of scratches and swirl marks prior to waxing. The paint went from very rough to silky smooth with just the compound so I can't wait to see what happens when I finish it off tomorrow. The machine is very well balanced, low vibration, fairly quiet and has lots of power (5 Amp, 600 Watt) and I found that the sweet spot for compounding was at speed level 4. I tried to stall out the machine but couldn't even with a lot of pressure put on it, it just kept on spinning and oscillating. I found that I basically used the front handle just to guide the machine as the machine was very capable of doing all the work for me. I then washed the pad after I finished in warm water with a little Dawn dish detergent, attached it to a 5 inch drill mounted backing plate and spun all the excess water out and it came out like it was brand new again. My experience with this machine today has been nothing but positive and I found it very easy to use, this coming from a 62 year old man that says something. I will update in a month or so after I use it a few more times (weather permitting in Canada). Would I recommend it, so far yes. Update, October 7, 2023. I decided to give the van a follow up compound and polish but roughly 3/4 through doing my van the yellow pad separated from the backing cloth and shot down the driveway with the backing cloth still attached to the backing plate. Thankfully I was working on the sliding door so there was no weight on the pad from the machine (no damage to the paint), so I switched to the orange polishing pad to finish the job. After I finished I went wash the orange polishing pad and noticed that the backing cloth was separating from the pad. I contacted Avid Power directly (via email) and informed them of what had happened and their response was awesome. They appolagized for the issue and said they would send out replacement pads immediately and that I should have them on my doorstep in roughly 15 day's. They also informed me that once you register your DA polisher (which I did) the machine is covered under warranty for two years. This is customer service at it's finest and can't wait to get the new improved pads. I will update again when I receive the replacement pads. Update October 23, 2023. The new replacement pads arrived today (via expedited shipping) and they have put a hole through the center of two of the pads and it looks like they have changed the adhesive that holds the pad to the backing material, the orange pad looks the same as the original that came with the polisher. They kept to their word and this shows me the dedication to their warranty and customer service, thank you Zoey for all your help. I can definitely recommend this polisher to anyone who wants to clear up any paint defects and clean their vehicles paint.

Buffer
It works really well. The only issue I had with it was that when I was about three quatres of the way doing my car, the polishing pad split on me. The Velcro part came off the pad which scratched my paint a little bit. I did manage to fix the paint but I had to go buy a better pad to finish the job.
