Trixie 19432 Protective Silicone Sock M: 8 cm/35 cm, Grey

I read all the reviews on this sock and was a bit worried that it wouldn’t work, or last very long, however for the price of it I thought I would get it and see how long it lasts. My dog cut his toe on his back foot two weeks ago and I have to keep the bandage dry when we go out for a walk. I had been using the plastic (ex drip bags) bags the vet gave me, but they weren’t working so well because they weren’t high enough up his leg to keep the bandage dry. This silicone sock is perfect, it fits a little snuggly only because I ordered the size for the width of his foot and not included the bandage. I felt I should write this review because it works perfectly, admittedly he got a little cut in the bottom of this sock after a few days, but I would expect that because where we walk there’s a lot of stone chippings which can be sharp. Using the two Velcro straps provided the sock doesn’t move down or come off and doesn’t impede his walk at all. Before I put it on him before our walk I put a little bit of talcum powder in, which makes it easy to put on and take off. He has now been using this for about a week and a half and it’s still fine, I just put the little slit in the sock at the top and his bandage stays nice and dry and he can walk really well with this on.

This product was a huge waste of money. I bought it for my labrador who had a severe cut to his paw. The sock is not sock or leg shaped but flat, so does not fit comfortably around the leg. The straps are flimsy and you have to bunch the sock inside the straps to hold it up. The sock kept falling down and the toe area was flapping about. Once we finally got out on our walk, the sock had ripped within 10 minutes and one of the straps had fallen off and been lost.

nice product, quit thick so hoped it would last well. It was good for dog to go out in the rain with out her sore paw getting wet. i have a Labrador size dog and this fitted well. Unfortunately she did chew a hole in the bottom of the sock so she could like her paw.....

Arrived quickly. Size was a little big based on the charge provided. Kept falling down my dog leg and then ripped on week two. A did what I wanted it to do which was allow a cut paw to remain dry but life span was not great.

Not very happy with this. My German Shepherd had sores on either side of his back leg after an operation. The vet said it wasn't infected so wasn't worried. Trouble was he kept kicking it so I thought I'd try this rathe than a bandage. He did not like it as it's rubber and he didn't want to walk on it. After a couple of hours I took it off because he was really uncomfortable. I wish I had taken it off sooner. Because it's latex or something it had become hot and sweaty. He's foot was wet when I took it off. I threw it in the bin. Not happy with it at all.

Bought this to protect dogs bandaged paw. Tried several but only the sole was waterproof. This was too tight as not ment for going over a large bandage so I've sliced down the length and it's perfect. Straps hold it in place. Been using for short walks for 2 wks now. Highly recommend but did need to slice down the length to get it over the leg. Didn't touch the part that goes over the paw.

I put the sock on my dogs leg and thought I had done it correctly but lo and behold it slipped down within about 5 minutes! I stopped, tightened the strap and continued walking my dog, it once again slipped down and my dog flicked it off his paw. Totally frustrated I once again put the sock back on and once gain tightened it using the two straps that are provided. Within the next 10m it had become baggy around the toes and was slipping off again. I decided that I would quickly return home the few hundred meters that I had walked and my dog was not happy! I really wish that someone would make something like this that functions as it should. I have tried two different ones of these now and neither have done a very good job. Very disappointed! I needed something that covered my dogs dew claw as he has recently had it removed nd none of the available boots are long enough!

This worked extremely well. I thought it was a bit narrow so check sizes. It does stretch when putting it on though. This allowed my dog to go out with his injured paw, but did a brilliant job at keeping it dry and clean. I cut it to the length I needed, easy to cut but robust enough for walks. The removable straps allow for ideal placement. I found the velcro straps secure.

It keeps in place, keeps the foot dry. Excellent alternative to wearing the cone. I dont understand the bad reviews

Je l’ai acheté en plusieurs tailles mais il me semble que cela n’est pas prévu pour la patte d’un chien. Même en taille XL, l’enfilage est impossible car la matière empêche de glisser la patte du chien à l’intérieur.

J’ai bien reçu le produit et rapidement. Ça me semblait parfait pour protéger l’attelle de ma chienne qui a la patte cassée. Un peu difficile à enfiler mais une fois passée, cela tient super bien. Le gros HIC: elle a porté cette protection une demi journée et c’est troué au bout… 😒.
