Good Grips Apple Corer and Divider

This is an incomparable product. Was tempted to not ignore the big price difference between this Oxo apple cutter and the other cheaper ones, but am delighted I bought this. It's a fantastic product, designed very smartly - the handles for both sides are raised, the Frame is excellent - sturdy, wide, made with strong easily cleanable material, the steel blades are top quality, and the entire thing is one strong, practical, useful and safe to use apple and other fruits/vegetables cutter. I use it for beet roots too. When the frame of the blades rests on the chopping board or kitchen surface, it ensure the blades stops one mm before they touch the platform. Perfect. More costly than other apple cutters, but still a great value due to the fantastic effectiveness and satisfaction it delivers with every use.

I almost cut my finger. One can easily forget which side is the cutting edge. Design can be improved.

We’ve gone through quite a few of these over the years with my kids and their apples. We’ve tried many other brands and they either started to rust or the plastic frame cracks or brakes or even hurt your hand with the sides while you’re trying to slice the apples. Finally, we decided to try this brand and I’m glad that we did it. It’s not only is it the sharpest one we’ve used, but it’s also the most comfortable one on the hands and works well. We’ve put it in the dishwasher a few times and it’s still not showing any signs of rust. If you are definitely someone that uses an item like this frequently, this is a great choice to use to avoid having to buy multiples of other ones out there

I use this OXO apple slicer way more than I expected. One push and you get clean, even slices with the core removed—no fighting with a knife, no uneven chunks. The blades are really sharp, and the tool feels solid/sturdy (not flimsy plastic). The best part for me is the big cushy grips. They make it comfortable to press down, and the handle design keeps your fingers nicely off the cutting board. It works well on both small and large apples, and I’ve also used it on pears with great results. Cleanup is easy—most of the time a quick rinse does it, and it’s dishwasher-safe when I’m feeling lazy. Quick tip: if you slice a tiny bit off the bottom of the apple first (so it sits flat), it tends to cut all the way through even more cleanly. If you eat apples regularly (snacks, kids’ lunches, baking), this is a simple gadget that genuinely saves time.
