Plastic handle is ok, not the most comfortable, however it allows for rim shots for samba and bossa. Being a medium gauge, double stroke patters work really well, and effective in jazz gallop pattern. Good alternative to have on the side!

Quality brushes
I bought these as my first pair of brushes and am pleased with them. I've not used any before so its new to me, but my drum teacher was impressed with the way they were put together. As another reviewer said, they have some weight to them but arent overly heavy and this kind of adds to the quality feel. Once they are retracted into the handles there doesnt seem to be any danger of the wires coming back out accidentally and being bent in your stick bag.
