Autolite HT1-4PK HT1 Platinum High Thread Spark Plug, Pack of 4

They arrived quickly as expected and packed nicely. They fit perfectly and are working as expected.

Recently bought a 2006 Mustang GT that I was having acceleration issues with. Car had 88K miles so I figured it might have the original plugs, but that would mean they were the infamous two-piece Motorcraft plugs that could break when removing. Got the original plugs out and replaced with the HT1s which is an improved one-piece plug. Car’s running great.

I've read all of the horror stories of plugs breaking in the head. make sure that you blow all of the dirt out of the spark plug holes. I strongly recommend use a really good penetrating oil on a warm engine spray the penetrating oil let set for at least a 30 minutes. do not force the plugs out work slow and just loosen a little at a time then tighten them keep doing that till the plug comes out. Invest in the plug socket made for a ford. they are cheap enough..

Even though the picture shows 4 spark plugs, and a package that would hold 4, read the description before you buy, because this is for ONE spark plug. Very deceptive in my opinion!!!

I have always used Autolite plugs in my Ford vehicles since they are the same as Motorcraft and have had no complaints over the years. I only ordered one plug to put on a cylinder that had been misfiring due to bad coil and didn't necessarily need a plug but figured I'd replace it anyway. This plug I received was defective - had a bad spot on the insulator tip, seen as a dark indentation or crack in the ceramic. I am being kind with the 3 stars on this due to past satisfaction with Autolite products and Amazon's service. Amazon made the return process a snap and I really appreciate their commitment to customer satisfaction.

These spark plugs have been performing very well. Anyone with experience trying to remove the old two piece plugs will understand the struggle. I managed to get 7 of the 8 out with out a problem. Had to use the extractor tool to remove the 8th one. I installed these new plugs using the recommended anti seize so they'll be easier to remove in the future. I highly recommend these plugs and would definitely purchase again.

Put a set of these in my '06 Mustang GT. Drove about 20 minutes before my car began misfiring. I replaced them with genuine Motorcraft plugs, car ran like a dream. These plugs have a gap of around .03, rather than the OEM-recommended .042. Motorcraft plugs have a gap of .054, and for whatever reason, my car definitely preferred the larger gap. Also, buy the Lisle 65600 Broken Plug Remover if you're going to remove this type of spark plug after > 50,000KM. It's a life saver.
