Perfect fill and weight! I already have a Coop travel pillow and love its shredded foam! It’s more like magic fluff than what you may have seen in other shredded foam pillows, and you can easily remove it if you’d like less fill. I wouldn’t consider this overstuffed at all though. This pillow provides perfect between the knee support...very relaxing. I’m 5’2 and this runs from my collarbone to my feet, with my legs almost fully extended. It’s everywhere I need it! It’s heavy enough to stay in place but light enough you can wiggle it over yourself to the other side. When I get out of bed, it easily folds up to let me out without a struggle. This is not a Tempurpedic brick that you just hate to move! That said, I switch sides about twice a night. I don’t mind the wiggle over to the other side. You may find you switch less just because this pillow is so relaxing- but if you’re really a dolphin in bed, you might not like the heft of the pillow. It’s still memory foam, though lighter than the non-shredded kind. I had been sleeping with a standard size memory foam pillow between my knees...but at that size it doesn’t stay put and of course doesn’t provide any upper body support. I love resting my arm on this both high and lower- again, it’s everywhere I need it! You will need to air it out before use. Normal for memory foam. I wasn’t in a hurry and left it under a sunny window for a couple of weeks. Prefer that to the dryer option. It doesn’t smell like anything now. And about the pregnancy aspect- I looked at those two sided cocoon pillows, but there were 2 big problems for me. I share a queen bed, and I just couldn’t force my partner to try to sleep on the sliver of remaining bed. Also, I have a history of neck and back pain from not having the right pillow (serious pinched nerve stuff) and I knew that whatever shape and fill that thing was, it wasn’t going to work for me! Took me forever to discover that the Coop travel pillow, with some fluff removed and a nice big crease down the middle, was my permanent neck pain solution! Not giving that up for a pregnancy pillow! This is all I need! AND the Coop body pillow waterproof protector is awesome! Fits perfect, great quality, noiseless, and is actually so soft I like sleeping on it without an additional pillow cover. Same thing for my travel pillow- the waterproof cover is soft and a little fuzzy, feels great against your skin! I always use waterproof covers for bedding and Coop has the best quality of all I’ve ever used. So, yay Coop! High quality products from a company that really thinks about the details. I suspect this pillow will make a lot of people happy! I recommend you use a tape measure to see how much of you it will support. For me, the knees and feet are key, the arms are major bonus. Good luck! No matter what, Coop makes great quality stuff and you won’t find anything lacking in that sense. Their products are worth the cost and I think this pillow is an awesome one! I love this pillow! I got this pillow for my lower back pain that would always seem to get worse after waking up. I used to use a king sized feather pillow between my legs for support but since it would flatten out over night, I always found that the hip on top would actually pull upwards and make the back pain worse overnight and sometimes even while I'm just laying there trying to sleep. I've been using it every day since I got it and I've actually noticed that my hip no longer pulls up, I can stretch out unlike before, and the muscles are slowly relaxing again. Even though this pillow has chunks of foam instead of a solid block of foam, once you put a pillow case on top of it you can barely tell. I was debating getting a solid pillow before this but I don't regret my decision at all. The chunks of foam make it so i can decide how firm or soft i want the pillow to be at my head or at my legs. It also makes it so i can bend it around really easily to take the shape of my legs if they're bent and still pull it towards my face to rest on. The only thing I would suggest is to fluff it up every morning after using the pillow or to do it before going to bed so the foam doesn't stick together and clump over time. For the things that some reviewers have complained about...when you receive the pillow, its super flat and floppy. Give it a day or two of fluffing and letting it sit to open up a bit or toss it into the dryer (in my case I put it under my blankets at the foot of my bed and turned on the bed warmer on high). There is the typical fresh memory foam smell to it, especially on the first few days. Now the only time I smell it is if i shove my face into the pillow and poof out a pocket of air. I think the smell will go away after the first washing but I have yet to do that since I personally don't mind the smell too much. If anything, it smells like deliciously soft comfort :) Also as a side note: The seller is great at following up with people. A few days after purchasing this pillow the seller contacted me to ask how things were and if I had any questions. I asked if it would be alright washing in my HE front loading machine and received an answer (yes) within a few (2) hours.

I own several Coop pillows now, and they are the most comfortable thing imaginable. A friend felt one of mine while she was visiting then texted later asking for the brand because she couldn't stop thinking about how nice it was. I wish they made mattresses

Update in 2021, still going strong:: Update: 6 months later, there is no decrease in loft. Usually, a normal body pillow is starting to look slightly deflated at this point. This pillow is still as voluminous and softly squishy as on day one. Love this. As soon as we got the lakeside cabin in the woods, I ordered another one, as I won't sleep without it if I have a choice. Original Review: As a perennial side-sleeper I am a veteran of low back pain... and therefore have become a connoisseur or body pillows. Even if I go on vacation, I bring a body pillow case, and stuff it with hotel pillows to support my knee and prevent my back from twisting. I only wish this pillow could go with me. First things first. This thing is heavy and unwieldy. Someone described it as a limp drunk, and I feel this is a hilarious and accurate description. If you ever want to feel like you’re cuddling with another person, this is as close as it gets in pillow-form. But that very weight and resistance to compression is what makes this a great pillow. But that resistance somehow doesn’t make it uncomfortable. You sink into it, very like any other memory foam pillow, but it doesn’t feel like a brick because of the way the memory foam inside is almost shaved. Touching it is sort of surreal, and it makes you want to knead it, like a cat. The size of this pillow is 60 inches long, therefore it doesn’t fit in a normal body-pillow case. But the pillow’s surface is knit, that means if you try to stuff it in a 54 inch case, it *will* fit, but that will compact the inner fill, and make it less comfortable. As for temperature, it doesn’t cool and it doesn’t heat. It seems to take on your temperature very well. The few times I had a hot flash, it was hot, too...but that’s my temperature, not the pillow. I didn’t find it normally warming, just extremely cuddlesome. Some folks have complained about the odor, and it did have a distinctive odor when it first came out of the package and I didn’t like it. But touching it made me think it might be worth the while to let it air out for a bit, which I did, turning it frequently to help it do that faster. I would say I waited 2 weeks for the smell to go down. I am SO glad I persisted! The smell faded, and I was rewarded with the best sleep ever, with the cuddliest pillow on earth. If you’re tired of standard body pillows whose fill fritters out just when you need the support, I HIGHLY recommend you try this. I don’t think I’ve ever been so passionate about a pillow before.

This body pillow attempts to combine the support of a memory foam pillow with the softness and malleability of a down pillow. The manufacturer was trying to mimic the feel of down by loading the pillow with shredded chunks of material that can be fluffed to make a more custom fit. Well, I think they really hit on something here, because after a few weeks I've become quite impressed with this product. The pillow is supportive, breathable AND adjustable. The bamboo retains its shape well, but it's also moldable enough to be extremely comfortable. I appreciate how I can lessen the amount of fluff toward the bottom -- where my knees wrap around it -- while boosting the fluffiness toward the top of the pillow -- where I wrap my arms around it. It somehow manages to straddle the line between firm and pliable. And as a 6'1 side sleeper, it's plenty long enough for me to wrap both my arms and my legs around. (Official size: 20" x 54" = 50.8cm x 137.16cm.) An additional benefit is that stays relatively cool compared with more traditional memory foam body pillows. My hunch is that she clumps of shredded memory foam allow for better air circulation, keeping the hot spots of the pillow cooler than they might otherwise be. And according to the manufacturer, the combination of bamboo fabric and memory foam makes the pillow hypoallergenic and dust mite resistant. One downside is that the pillow is fairly heavy, which can be annoying when I switch sides throughout the night. For a pillow cover, I suggest the "Allersoft Cotton Body Dust Mite and Allergy Control Pillow Protector, 21 by 60-Inch." Love this pillow. Its great to help with shoulder pain and not sleeping on back. Only drawback is it is very hot when sleeping.

Pillow came and after even putting in dryer it did not fill or fluff up like pictured. I contacted the company and they were kind enough to send more fill at no additional charge. This did bring the pillow to a nice plump body pillow like pictured. Had an allergic reaction to something in the pillow though and had to go back to my old pillow. Shame cause it was comfortable and had spent so much on it.

Original purchase date 2/11/2024. I am a repeat Coop Home Goods customer, having previously purchased a regular adjustable pillow for myself in 2020 which I loved - I handed that one down to my son after upgrading to the Cool+ pillow when I made that purchase, and he is still getting use out of it 6 years later! These pillows do come at a high price point but are worth every penny! I am very much a side sleeper and need lots of support at night, which this pillow consistently provides! The smell vanishes very quickly with these pillows, faster than other memory foam products I've tried, and the alternative down fill inside also helps with the lumpy-ness, making it much more snuggly than some other versions I've tried. You can immediately tell this pillow will be supportive by how much it weighs, and who doesn't want a pillow that can be adjusted to your preferred firmness and height?! I think the next line for Coop should be some cooling bed sheets! :)

Out of the box, the pillowed looked rather sad, and there weren't any instructions (beyond the care/wash instructions on the label). Less than a few hours later, however, things were looking great - the pillow had already bounced back a lot, and there wasn't much of a smell to the product. It's only been one night, but right now the pillow feels fantastic. It's soft, cuddly, supportive enough, and despite being really large for a single bed causes zero issues on that front. It's easy to move it to the other side of the bed, and I much prefer the shape the long oblongs. There is one problem, though. Despite many of the reviews I'd read claiming that it doesn't sleep hot, I think anyone who considers themselves to 'run hot' is going to find this far too warm, at least with the current case. I don't consider myself one of those people, in general, but there are times when I do run warm - this afternoon nap was one of those times and it felt like I was hugging a very cuddly hot water bottle. Update: I am still loving this pillow. It's just as soft, cuddly, and supportive as when I bought it. Additionally, after trying a satin case on the pillow, I think that people who run hot will likely still want to avoid the pillow - however, changing the case did make a difference, and I think the pillow itself is worth the cost.

I was a little alarmed when I looked at some photos of a half-filled, sad-looking pillowcase with a bit of stuffing, but those reviewers MUST have taken that photo and left the review right out of the box. It does look sad and half-filled, because it comes vacuum-sealed, but an hour later it had fluffed up to the point where I could hardly fit it into my body pillowcase! If anything, I may need to remove some of the stuffing. It's medium-firm, provides amazing support, and I didn't notice any off-gassing smell like some other reviewers (and I'm very sensitive to that normally). Definitely worth the investment.

For those reviewers commenting how it small it looks out of the box it clearly says in the instructions to fluff up the filling. Yes it looks sad coming out of the packing but it is extremely compressed. I took mine out, gave it a fluff up and left it for a couple of hours. The change is remarkable. The quality is excellent and the foam moulded to my body. As someone who had years of pain and poor sleep as my hips wore out and then were both replaced I'm very pleased with it and wondering why I waited so long to get one. Not cheap but a bargain for a better nights sleep. Comes with a removable cover but I think it needs a pillowcase.
