Does this make fizzy drinks too - not just water? Thanks

yes. it pumps carbon dioxide into whatever you put in it. although when using it i found if u put the flavour into the water 1st it will fizz up the mix too much and explode out the bottle. it is recommended you add the flavour afterwards. in the instructions..

Can you adjust how fizzy it is ?

Hi Yes, with the manual Sodastream the consumer can choose how fizzy they make the water. Press it 3 times for a low fizz up to 5/7 presses for a very fizzy drink.

Can you use different shaped bottle from an older model in this?

Hi You can use any Sodastream plastic bottle in the Spirit, but please check the expiry dates on your bottles and do not use expired bottles in your sparkling water maker.

Can i take the gas canister to sainsburys for refills, if i buy this unit from amazon?

Hi Yes, you can exchange the empty gas cylinder in any participating retailer.
