can I wash the raw wool in a washng machine

Thanks for the question! We personally have sheep that we have shorn and then market the wool. We have honestly lno experience with washing or processing it. No This unwashed raw wool is all I handle.

I am in need of raw wool with the lanolin still intact, I assume that is the case here as it is unwashed. Does this have lanolin?

Yes it has lanolin and lots of poop too. I bought it for birds to use as nesting material. But it was just too gross for me to handle. Wound up ordering a cleaner wool.
