Korra must decide who to trust as the fate of the Earth Kingdom hangs in the balance] On the eve of its first elections, the Earth Kingdom finds its future endangered by its past. Even as Kuvira stands trial for her crimes, vestiges of her imperial ambitions threaten to undermine the nation's democratic hopes. But when Korra, Asami, Mako, and Bolin don't all see eye-to-eye as to the solution, drastic measures will be taken to halt a new march to war] Written by series co-creator Michael Dante DiMartino and drawn by Michelle Wong (Goosebumps: Download and Die), with consultation by Bryan Konietzko, this is the official continuation of the beloved television series] Review: Great quality - The comic came in with great quality and very quickly. It really continues Korra's story beautifully. Review: nice - Such a great start to the series ! Looking forward to reading more of it! So nice to see the crew all together again

Great follow to the Cartoon!
This comic book is well paced and structured. It builds on the wider world of the show and somehow it manages to give many characters a voice.

LOK is getting back on track with its plot!
This is a definite buy for anyone who was a fan of "The Legend of Korra." The story is now back to its main roots and plot. We can see what the fallout of Kuvira's actions were and seeing Kuvira again made me very happy. She was one of the best and complex antagonists of the series. This comic touches on the nuances of Kuvira as a person as well. Her interactions with Korra seem natural: reserved yet respectful. Asami wears a perennial frown in the entire narrative of this issue as Kuvira is around. It calls back to her quiet anger and passive aggression of Book 1. Yet, seeing the circumstances it is only natural and appropriate. There are tensions within the Krew concerning Kuvira. My only qualms are is that Korra appeases Asami a bit TOO much. I know Korrasami is canon and important but it seems that Korra and Asami disagree a lot less than Mike actually stated. This seems a bit off. Additionally, Korra does still connect a lot to Kuvira and you see why. They have VERY similar patterns of behaviours and attitudes. In one scene, she even projects both Book 1 Korra and Mako. She is the most like Korra in terms of personality despite her horrible actions. Storywise and plotwise a great continuation to the series. Characterisation of Korra, Mako, Asami and Bolin are pretty en pointe. At times, Mako releases Book 1 & 4 Korra energy, which was awesome. The book has some subtle Korrasami moments but one part seemed strange. Overall, A. I just loved Korra, Mako and Kuvira in this first issue! Asami also acted pensive, which I liked and Bolin was unapologetically Bolin. The main plotline was intelligently introduced by the end.

Good start for the series
As someone who was underwhelmed by Turf Wars and I had no idea this was coming out, I am pleasantly surprised by this new direction. It directly deals with the aftermath of series finale and brings back the Korra-Kuvira dynamic which has great potential (pleasing to see hints of character growth from both of them). All in all, looking forward to see where this goes.

Great comic!!(damaged though)
Once again, Michael has not let me down. I read this the moment I got it out of the mail and zipped right through it! If you’re someone who’s a fan of the show you’ll enjoy the comics. I am always refreshed when I get to continue exploring the avatar world through these comics. Now I’m just sad that I have to wait until October to continue it. :( Unfortunately, I received this comic in the mail the day it was released, and I’m assuming for some reason that is why the copy I have is slightly damaged. The top right corner of the whole book seems to be bent out of shape. As someone who is a big fan of this show and it’s comics, I found this disappointing since I like to keep them in good condition. Truthfully though, I was mostly just happy to have it. I was going to leave four stars for the lack of care (possibly on amazons part), but Dimartino has thoroughly entertained me once again and I think his product itself deserves five stars.
