Read every issue cover to cover
I purchased a subscription for my husband who loves fine woodworking. He is inspired every month and reads each and every article. It has helped him create ideas for a bed for his son and some pieces for our home. Best gift I could have given him.

First Class Magazine
If you are a beginner in woodwork, this is your dream machine because you will see the kind of woodwork we wish we could do. This is a classy publication with great ideas, excellent writing and super pictures. You won't find a better resource for high-class fine woodworking.. It is not a magazine for home handymen, but rather the experienced woodworker with a well-equipped shop. Highly recommended.

The best
This is the best woodworking magazine. It has a nice balance between projects, general instruction for newbies, and advance techniques for intermediate and advanced woodworkers. This is where all the 'famous' woodworkers write: Garret Hack, Chris Becksvoort, Mike Dunbar, and others. The magazine is glossy and the binding is nice, so it keeps well in the bookshelf, unlike some of my Popular Woodworking and American Woodworker magazines.I'm constantly referring back to my old issues for ideas and techniques.

Amazon subscription, no digital access.
My carpenter guy must have this in his reading pile at all times. It's one of the few publications oriented towards the trade vs the weekend project. The only downside is when I renewed his subscription through Amazon ( or any other 3rd party) vs Tauton, there is no digital access .When I say digital, I don't just mean access to read in app, I mean you can't even log onto the page,Unless you purchase directly through Tauton. I've been told as much by Tauton customer service. It's like you only get the decoder ring into the secret society directly through the publisher. While it may be more convienient or you can save a few bucks, just not worth it, not to go through Tauton. You can easily have all digital access, which includes previous issues & they usually throw in some kind of gift .

The best.
Hands down the best woodworking magazine on the market. While most of the works depicted are inspirational for the majority of it's audience, that is the point. I really never wanted a how-to for bird houses, rather, magnificent furniture. Like tools, quality is never cheap and always worth the price.
