Adaptiv Technologies (A-05-04 TPX Bluetooth Adapter, Black

OK so the main point of this was to get audio of the radar detector to my bluetooth headset. Works and works perfect...for this. But Adaptiv's website says you can also stream music from your phone. What I didn't realize was that this can only do that when plugged into the headphone jack of the phone, which of course means you are not transmitting the detector audio. So you can do 1 or the other. You cannot do both at the same time. If you want map directions from your phone and radar detector audio at the same time in your bluetooth headset you won't do it with this device. All of that said this unit is very compact and lightweight. It just won't let you have your cake and eat it too.

It works, not loud, and not in both speakers of my Sena SMH5 bluetooth. The part I DON"T like is when I am listening to FM radio it DOES NOT interrupt to alert me. I assumed it would since my phone sound alerts come through my SMH5 and interrupt the radio.So if I want to use it I have to turn the FM radio off.Also why are there multiple models out there that look IDENTICAL to this one at half the price?

Why the radar detector is not Bluetooth connectable to headsets etc. is a mystery and this is an awkward fix for a problem that should not exist

Don't waste time and money on this item. Didn't even work and documentation was so crappy. I'm trying to return it.

still trying to make it work. not able to get it to communicate with my garmin gps to a Bluetooth devise

Very small and compact, great for putting under seat and keeping accessible. Recommend keeping under passenger seat for easy access to charge it or buy the adaptive wiring charger for it.
