RS4-G5 1-Way Remote Start and Keyless Entry System with Trunk Pop

Install was not that hard. Came to Lithuania pretty fast. So far it works good. Installed it on Audi A6 C5 2000y 2.5 TDI Quattro Automatic. I saw some bad reviews about this , but most of them are from people that don't have enough experience to install this remote start system and shouldn't buy it in the first place. Overall im really happy and quality of this remote start exceeded my expectations..

I've always wanted a remote start system since I live in Illinois, where the winters can suck and the summers can suck. I drive a 97 Audi A6 and I didn't have a factory remote lock when I bought it. I looked around for Viper and other systems and even though they're really nice systems, my needs do not justify the steep costs. I found this set and I can say I am amazed by it. The fact I not only have remote start but a full locking remote too is more than I could've asked for at this price. The only thing I can say is that even though I am pretty experienced in automotive wiring, this system can take a while to install. I was lucky enough to not need the alarm bypass so it made it a little easier. There are a lot of places to look online that will tell you exactly the location and which exact wire to splice to, so make sure you invest time and do research first! As far as the product operation, I am very impressed! The range is affected by your environment really quickly, but I have not been in a situation yet where I had to complain. There are so many programmable options to fit every driving need. If you are looking for a system that will not let you down, and you're not looking for all the bells and whistles that Viper gives, I highly recommend this system!

So far this is an awesome product for the low price! It is definitely not a simple install. If you don't have auto wiring experience and more than general auto lingo, don't even try. I read over the install instructions several times, which are confusing, vague, and out of order. It is an all day project for sure. One major benefit to this unit is it doesn't require all of the relays and resistors that some of the other brands require. I did have to set up a reverse polarity relay for my door locks, and I did do it wrong the first time burning out the actuator on the drivers door. The remote start is such a nice feature to have. I had my son take the Jeep for a ride around the block to test the range of the remote. I'm very impressed with the range! Now that I have installed it once, I think I can do it again in half a day. I will be buying another one of these for my other vehicles for sure. It didn't take much to convince both of my son's they need this too. The remotes are very solid and look like they will last a long time. The immobilizer is required however I cheated my way around that by permanently attaching the head of the only chipped key I have inside the steering column. I have been running the Jeep this way for a while using two regular keys without the chip in them. The biggest benefit is I bought my Jeep without a key fob. Every time I unlocked the door the alarm would go off alerting everyone and their dog that I was getting into my Jeep! Very annoying! This unit has enabled me to disarm the alarm at a fraction of the cost of buying a new fob and having it programed, with the added bonus of having remote start for the hot summers and cold winters! Customer service was quick to answer the phone and my question, I should have used them a few more times. Some of the other features not listed: Wait to start for diesel engines; turbo cool down timer allowing you to leave the vehicle and it stays running for 3-5 minutes extending the life of the turbo; basic programmable start timer; 2 separate vehicle operation from one remote; RPM enabled lock and unlock of all doors; keep running feature, allows you to run into a store with the key and locked doors for up to 20 minutes and the car will stay running, great feature on a hot Arizona day! There are numerous more, but these are things that would have sold me even faster on this product. Overall a fantastic product! Now to see how it will stand the test of time!

Installed in a 97 Honda accord ( does not need bypass because not a chip key). I am not a pro installer. I had no trouble installing after researching and testing my wires. I did not hook up to the tac yet and have not had to adjust the starting time. It does have adjustments for it. several settings for many types of installs. great quality remotes. There are 2 things that I have seen that could be improved. It should come with 1 relay to wire up the anti grind, I cant see a scenario where that should not be installed on 95%. It would add about $1 to the price but at this price point it cant be beat + or - $1 anyway. would just be very convienient. The second thing is when you remote start your vehicle it locks the doors a few seconds after it starts. It should definitly lock the doors first before it does anything. Its just odd if you start it as you are walking up seems every time i put my hand to open it locks the doors. even if you start then unlock it still locks at a specific time after the start. just odd. Love it anyway and would buy again.

Quit working a few months after install. Item was installed correctly and worked flawlessly for about 3 months. Then one day it just quit working. I checked all wiring, replaced and reprogrammed the bypass module and still didn't work. So it had to be the remote start unit itself. Smashed it with a hammer and moved onto another product.

You really need to know a good bit about how car electronics work to get this working how you want it that being said it is VERY flexible to your type of install. Will work best in cars with actual keys that are a bit older, with less anti-theft technology. If you have an older GM car this can be easily installed . You can adapt it for different types of unlock circuits, up to 3 power feeds from ignition switch. Remote has a VERY long range. With line of sight, I was able to get .3 mile range from a building on a large campus down a hill across a street and down a side street on that street. I did not need to call tech support so I cannot speak to how good that is. Watch a lot of YouTube to help with this.
