My son loves it for his white rice
My son is very particular about his food and eats a lot of white rice. He loves to put this โspiceโ on. His uncle had sent some from Japan originally and he got hooked. Iโm thankful for the product shipping and being available as my son loves it.

Tasty flavor, slightly overpriced
Small packets but will cover a decent serving of rice, flavor is mild, tasty and not too fishy, quality furikake compared to ones made outside of Japan, convenient packets to bring on outings like picnics & camping, If it wasn't overpriced I'd buy more but you get what you pay for. I'd like to try different flavors in a variety pack instead.

Fantastic flavor in a small packet!
I ordered this because of a YouTube video by Beryl Shereshewsky in which she did comfort foods/sick foods from around the world. This young couple talked of a Japanese rice dish that uses these flavor packets. I had to give it a try and was not disappointed! I get sick a lot and end up in hospital and keep an emergency bag of stuff that contains, S&P, tea, Splenda, toothpicks, gum and this seasoning (hospital food is so flavorless - I'll use it on chicken breast, pork chops, eggs, potatoes, rice, pasta that doesn't have a sauce). Oh the joys of having a chronic illness - the dietitians think food with flavor will kill you, but I digress. Give these a try, you won't be sorry!

Disappointing Noritama Flavor
Let me tell you a story about my experience with Marumiya Furikake Rice Seasoning, specifically the Noritama flavor. It all started when I was browsing through the Asian grocery options in Amazon , looking for something to spice up my boring meals. I stumbled upon this cute little packet of seasoning, and the packaging claimed it would make my rice taste like heaven. I thought, "What could go wrong?" So, I bought the Marumiya Furikake Rice Seasoning, Noritama flavor, I received it with high hopes. I decided to cook up some plain white rice to try it out. I opened the packet and poured the seasoning on top of my rice, eager to taste the magic. As I took my first bite, I was hit with an overwhelming sensation of disappointment. The Noritama flavor was lackluster, and it tasted like someone had sprinkled stale, cardboard-flavored dust on my rice. It was like eating plain rice with a hint of sadness. I decided to give it another chance and used more seasoning the next time. But, sadly, it didn't improve the taste at all. I felt like I was forcing myself to eat it just to avoid wasting money. However, the real comedic moment came when I tried to convince my friend to try it. I told her it was the best seasoning I had ever tasted, and I even hyped it up as a miracle worker that would make her taste buds dance. But when she tried it, she gave me a look that said, "What is this garbage?" In conclusion, Marumiya Furikake Rice Seasoning, Noritama flavor, gets a 2 out of 5 stars from me. The only good thing about it was the cute packaging. But, hey, maybe it's just my taste buds that don't appreciate the magic of Noritama. Nonetheless, it did provide me with a funny story to share with my friends, and sometimes, that's all that matters. Here's a simple recipe to make a tasty rice bowl using the seasoning ( not this brand ๐คข) : Ingredients: * 2 cups cooked short-grain rice * 2 tablespoons Marumiya Furikake Rice Seasoning Noritama * 1 egg * 1 teaspoon soy sauce * 1 teaspoon mirin * 1 teaspoon sake * 1/2 teaspoon sugar * 1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil * 1 green onion, sliced Instructions: 1. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar until well combined. 2. Heat the vegetable oil in a small non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the egg mixture and cook, stirring gently, until the egg is cooked through but still slightly runny. 3. Place the cooked rice in a serving bowl and sprinkle the Marumiya Furikake Rice Seasoning Noritama on top. 4. Top the rice with the cooked egg and sliced green onion. 5. Serve immediately and enjoy! This recipe should make 2 servings. Adjust the amounts accordingly if you need to make more or less.
