Parent of ArtBar enthusiasts!
Barbara Rucci's "Cardboard Creations" is packed with engaging invitations to create magical projects w all your household cardboard! The projects engage my children's imaginations, transforming into little builders, engineers, and artists. The resulting creations lend themselves to hours of make-believe play. Favorites have included: YEARN WRAPPED LETTERS (so easy for parents to set up, super fun for kids, the resulting letters little masterpieces....), BOX CITY, PLAYHOUSE and BOX CITY were wonderful collaborative projects for siblings and playdates. My children so enjoy these projects that we have become obsessed w saving every imaginable household item rather than discard them. So appreciate the author's ideas on how to store them!

Beautiful book filled with amazing projects
Barbara Rucci does it again! Cardboard Creations is a treasure sure to inspire parents and children alike to create beautiful works with recycled materials. My daughters and I have done several of the projects in this book and can't wait to try them all and then do them again and again. With gorgeous pictures for inspiration and instructions that leave lots of room for imaginations to fly, this book is a perfect addition to any home (or classroom) wanting to add open ended art projects into their lives.

Art ideas~ environmental, accessible and just awesome
My 7 year old daughter loves flipping through this book for inspiration! With the additional shipping boxes arriving at the house during the holidays, we have been able to create unique art instead of sending those boxes directly to recycling. My daughter sees the packaging as the gift and has no (ok- maybe little) interest as to what’s inside. : ) Note: I received a complimentary copy of this book.

Great Book!
I really love the Art bar blog and Art Workshops book, so even though this book didn’t jump out at me, I went ahead and ordered it anyway. I’m so glad I did! It’s a beautiful book with tons of simple process art activities. I highly recommend it!

This book is such an inspiration. It is a well written guide to get started and open a world of possibilities! I’ve loved using with early learners!

Writer has an agenda.
I have the authors previous book which had well thought out and creative ideas. This book is similar. None of the ideas are particularly novel, but are generally fun and pleasing. One star because of the frequent use of the pride flag on several pages of the book. It has no place in a book meant for parents to use with children. Such a shame.

Looking for ways to repurpose cardboard? This is the book for you. So many fun ideas. My kids love this book.

Most of the projects are just variations on collage. Collage, collage and more collage. If you regularly work with children and found/varied materials, there is nothing novel or inspiring here. Children might like to flip through the book (or so says the reviews), but there isn't much here for teachers/parents.

So many ideas. I can,t wait to watch my grandson of three years creating houses, space stations and wherever his imagination takes him. We are going to do a group project with his friends using recycled card, boxes etc. It will be fun!

Absolutely fantastic book about cardboard creations made with recyclable materials. We love the projects, ideas and suggestions, with plenty of inspirations to help you create your own ideas. Lots of fun, bright colours, happy and funny suggestions. Makes you look and think; what more you can use for a unique art project. Really pleased with this book. Will keep us crafting, thinking, creating and sharing for a long time to come. Thank you very much.
