If like me you are following Dr Ellie Phillips dental care protocol, these tiny timers make it much easier. You see, Dr Ellie recommends 3 different types of mouthwashes, twice a day, and these mouthwashes require different times. Thirty seconds and 60 seconds, to be precise. You can watch the clock, but sometimes it's easy to forget where the second hand started, plus watching the clock can be hard on your neck when you're leaning over the sink. Additionally, there is the 2-minute toothbrushing which can result in too much or too little time spent on some parts of the mouth. I find the 30 second timer is perfect to use and brush by quadrants. If I sound a bit OCD, I probably am, but the money and pain you save by doing the teeth the right way is worth it. Of course these silent timers which go up to 10 minutes will work for short meditation and holding yoga poses. You can time an egg. Whatever. Use your imagination. They are attractive, small, colorful, fun.

I really only need the 1 and 3 minute timers for playing board games but this was the best deal to get them. I wasn't expecting nuclear work precision for $7. I compared each sand timer 2X (except the 10 minute timer) to my phone timer and averaged the results if different readings; 30 second sand timer was 30 seconds, 1 minute sand timer was 59 seconds, 2 minute sand timer was 2:06, 3 minute sand timer was 3:15, 5 minute sand timer was 4:40, 10 minute timer measured 31 minutes and checking three more times the sand stopped each time before the sand all falls to the bottom. I am good with the accuracies of all except the 10 minute timer. And this is a good deal if you don't need the 10 minute timer. I wrote the "actual" times on each of the timers and trashed the 10 minute timer since I didn't need it anyway.

As a yoga teacher, I find these very helpful during teaching instead of using my phone or a clock. I use them for Restorative or Yin classes when we are holding poses for a determined amount of time. I love the color of the timers. I highly recommend them for anyone who needs a fun, reliable timing tool. They are small enough to not distract and fit in your hand. I have them in a small bag that I carry in my gym bag!

Cute colors but several of them are not accurate. I set a stopwatch and timed all of them and the two minute timer is not accurate as it runs almost two and a half minutes and the one minute timer runs only about 50 seconds. Fine for games but if you want an accurate timer don't go with these

I originally bought these to keep time on traps, puzzles or social encounters for the D&D game I run (obnoxious, I know), but I have since started using the for cooking (e.g. burgers or chicken breast cooking per side), planks and other ab holds and 2 minute punching bag drills. I am going to use these next family game night for to keep everyone focused on their turn - maybe not lol. These are great, very light weight but sturdy and easily carriable in a small bag (I use an old crown royal bag). They are marked with the times and are all different colors so you can't get mixed up (using a 1 minute when you needed a 2 minute, etc.). I also timed these up to the 5 minute glass against my Tag Heuer and they are very accurate, all falling within a second of actual time. Couldn't be happier with these and for $7 I will be grabbing 2 more sets.
