Replacement Air Chamber (Queen 60X72)

This is a great mattress. The company is very accommodating. I ordered one that was delivered to the wrong location, UPS’s fault, they shipped out another right away.

Our pull out couch gets a work out with guests staying often and sometimes for a while. We’ve had the couch for 10 years and the inflatable bladder was leaking. Instead of purchasing a new couch, we tried this inflatable bladder. It was the same brand, therefore easy to replace. It is working great. It is WAY more comfortable than a regular pull out couch. It is an economical solution to a potentially costly problem.

Perfect replacement when my original air mattress sprung a leak!! Fits my sleeper sofa exactly!

Just what I expected. So far the replacement is good.

A great air mattress came in my BASSETT sleeper couch 8 years ago. It sprung a leak & I needed to purchase a new one. Bassett furniture couldn’t find a replacement so I looked on Amazon. There it was, exactly what I needed. I just slid the new air mattress into the same cover, perfect fit, perfect sleeper sofa like new. I love it!’

This may be the first negative review I have ever written, because I don't write many reviews in the first place. I purchased this replacement air chamber almost one year ago so that my elderly father, who does not weigh more than 135 pounds, could stay with us for extended visits. It functioned as it should for about the first five months. After that, it started developing a small bulge. I called the company, listed as True Choice, and spoke with a representative who told me to cut out the bit of fabric that included the product serial number, and send it, along with my order number, to an address in Illinois. I was unable to locate the serial number, and called the company back. Unfortunately, that one human I spoke with was the last. In the past six months I have left multiple voice mail messages and have never received a return call. The bulge, as you can see in the photo, has grown larger and larger. I believe it is the result of stitching coming out on the air chamber. As mentioned, my father is not a heavy man, and we have not over inflated the chamber, as the inflation function turns itself off. The only way it is workable now is that I have spun the whole air bed around, so the bulge serves to elevate my fathers' feet instead of poking him in the back. I predict, based on events to date, that the bulge will only increase and it will end up in the trash. Of course, I am disappointed in the product, but I am much more disappointed in the company that could not be bothered to return any of my calls. Purchase at your own risk. UPDATE: It is now 16 months since I wrote that review. The bulge has grown larger and now it is leaking air, requiring that we pump up the bed each morning. Because I don't want to throw out the whole sofa bed, I am forced to purchase a new air chamber. Let's see if that one performs any better. Fingers crossed.

Amazon is top-notch when it comes to finding replacement parts for just about anything. The new bladder for the mattress works wonderfully. That said, I’m not happy the original mattress was defective.

This is our second Airdream inflatable mattress. The first was used sparingly over the past few years but developed a leak that I could not find and, accordingly, a repair attempt was not possible. Because the manufacturer of our sleep sofa recommends use of an Airdream, we ordered a replacement which was very easy to install. One observation, one question and one complaint. Observation: The mattress is very comfortable and works well as a temporary bed. Question: Since I couldn’t locate the leak source it is an open question whether the leak was due to a valve misfunction or a seam leak; a puncture absolutely was not a possibility. The durability of the mattress remains to be seen given the prior experience. Complaint: the vinyl mattress has a very strong odor which has lingered despite airing the mattress for a couple of days. I have some concern that it is emitting volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) that may be unhealthy to breathe, especially when lying on the mattress. Additional Comment: the strong chemical odor emission has continued for more than a week. I have concerns about guests sleeping on a mattress that is releasing VOCs.
