A Star Is Born: Music from the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Bought this for my wife for our anniversary, because she loves the movie and plays piano. She loved it and has spent hours sat at the piano playing the songs. Print quality is good. I can confirm that this is the full score, with songs written exactly as they are in the film, with full lyrics, guitar chords, etc - it’s not one of those awful ‘easy piano’ versions.

Love the songs in here. Good arrangements on the piano parts which accompanies the vocal score. Intermediate difficulty.

This is a fantastic collection of music from the movie; not too difficult so you can pick most of them up quickly, but they sound just like the recordings. Beautiful. The only reason for the four stars is that the pages do not stay open without help - why can’t all sheet music be spiral bounded?! - and the music is written in a way what it’s very difficult to turn the page without disrupting the rhythm of the song. The worst is ‘Is that Alright?’; you’re back and forth so many times that it gets frustrating. But I still love this book.

This is written exactly as what you hear in the recordings. If you are looking for a piano arrangement that combines all the instruments into the piano part, this is not what you are looking for. This piano music is beautiful and my favorite one to play is “Is That Alright?”. Too bad my singing sounds terrible!

A gorgeous book full of gorgeous music from a gorgeous movie. Full colour photos, beautifully printed sheets. Mandatory.

Es war großartiger Service. Bestellt über Amazon Deutschland. Versand aus Manchester, England. Keine Kosten. Nach wenigen Tagen waren die Noten da. Natürlich 1a verpackt. Es war offensichtlich, wie sehr die Musik nicht nur den Ton im Film angibt. Die Texte folgen nicht dem Geschehen, sondern sie zeichnen es wie ein Menetekel an die Wand und eines ist klar, zu diesem Buch gehört der Soundtrack des Films. Und zum Soundtrack gehören die Noten. Für mich jedenfalls, denn auch wenn ich bin eher nicht in der Lage bin, die Lieder adäquat zu singen und schon gar nicht mit einem Instrument zu spielen, so kann ich aber doch die Noten lesen und ich genieße das wie das Lesen einer Partitur in der Oper. Jedem, der den Film und in dem Film die Musik mag, empfehle ich die diese Noten. Auch wenn man ein E nicht als E registriert, so kann man doch dem Höhenlauf der Noten folgen und sieht die Verteilung des Textes auf den Noten. Nett z. B. im Refrain von SHALLOW. sha-ha-scha-la-la-la-low. :-) Krachend wie schriller Donner der Sound des Eingangslieds. BLACK EYES. Krass. So sehr ich SHALLOW und REMEMBER US ALL THIS WAY liebe, so hin und weg bin ich über diesen Einstieg. Die schrillen Schreie der Gitarre. Die treibenden Schläge des Schlagzeugs. Dieser Klang der Stimme von Bradley Cooper, der neben Lukas Nelson hier auch unter "Words and Music geführt" wird! Der Bedienungsanweisung lautet "Heavy Rock" und der Puls des Liedes hat 75 Schläge. Sein Eingangston in der rechten Hand der Klavierstimme ist das E und eine Oktave höher startet Bradley Cooper auch in den Song. Auf dem E. Genauso wie bei SHALLOW. Und während hier auf dem E die Höhengrenze bei SHALLOW liegt, geht er in BLACK EYES gleich hoch bis aufs G. Also Männer, wenn ihr das hier singen wollt, dann macht euch schon mal locker. Aber vor allem die Stimme und jetzt muss ich einfach zum Soundtrack schwenken, und das werde ich bei den folgenden Lieder immer wieder machen. Wer hätte das gedacht, dass ein Amateur nach einem Jahr Training so etwas zustande bringt. Der Slang. Die Färbungen in der Stimme. Teilweise dreckig, teilweise in zumindest angetrunkener Manier. Brechend. Sich fangend. Für einen Schauspieler, der den Gesang nicht zum seinem Business gemacht hat? Sensationell. Einfach sensationell. Fortsetzung folgt.
