EZSound Module - Light Activated - Easy to Record - 120 Seconds Recording - High Sound Quality

The media could not be loaded. Instructions were really easy to follow. Sound quality is amazing for the size and price. I used YouTube to find the song I needed and was done making my gift in less than 3 min from start to finish. Sensor works well in a music box and turns on and off when expected. I accidentally left too much of a delay in my sound recording but you can easily record over it. Definitely will be buying again!

I used this to booby trap my co-worker's desk drawer so Crocodile Rock plays. It worked perfectly. The instructions were extremely well written and easy to understand. It was easy to record, test, and re-record, so I could get the timing of the song just right. It comes with an adhesive sticker on the back, so it was easy to plant on the underside of my co-worker's drawer. I was worried that the light sensor might be finicky, but it worked exactly as had I hoped. It was totally fun to use and worth every penny.

I liked this item and would have given it 5 stars if only the light sensor were not so sensitive. If the sensor were less sensitive it could indeed be used as a "trigger" to start playing the music when open, as intended. Instead, light would trigger the sensor through the card's envelope. I worried that by the time my card was received, it would have gone off so many times from light piercing the envelope and triggering the sensor countless times, that it wouldn't play at all because of a dead battery. So, instead of relying on the overly sensitive trigger to surprise my recipient, I instead drew an arrow to the black cap that covered the sensor and wrote a note "Pull off black cap gently." Hardly, the surprise I had intended. Its a bummer that so many products like this swing and miss on a detail that makes or breaks the whole thing's intended purpose. So, 4 stars is as generous as I can be. On a further note, the sound clarity was very good and the method of loading the song to the player was IMO reasonably simple.

My project was to take an old "Prince Albert" tobacco can, and make a gag gift that had the sound of Prince Albert gasping for air when you open the lid. This is an homage to the old prank call to tobacco shops in which you ask if they have Prince Albert in a can. When they say they do you yell, "well let him out he can't breathe in there!"The gift is for my Uncle who taught me and my brothers the prank back in the glorious days before caller ID.Anyway, this device fit my plan perfectly, and works great.The five stars are for:A. It works, and sounds great (for being what it is)and most importantlyB. Their customer service is top notch. I had an issue that I thought was the result of a defective unit so I emailed them via their website. Within two hours I had a response with some troubleshooting pointers, and an emphatic promise to send a new one immediately. As it turns out the problem was easily resolved, and was more a result of my own misunderstanding the directions for use. I was highly impressed at how quick they got back to me and how willing they were to make it right. Quality customer service wins every time.My one complaint then is that their directions for use don't adequately explain how to operate the device, but now that I've got that figured out I'll be buying a couple more.One to duplicate my Prince Albert can, and the other to hide in my wife's walk-in closet that will play the sound of angels singing when she walks in and turns on the light.

Worked exactly as intended and survived re-shipping across the country. Follow the directions and everything will work perfectly. Was super easy to record and setup. Mailed it with some gifts to a friend across the country and it worked perfectly upon arrival. Volume isn't loud but it isn't that low either. Not sure what some people expect for a $12 card. I did notice that the default song on the card was very loud. I bet if you boost the volume on the song when you transmit it or perhaps transmit it using a home theater system with an audio out, that it would be just as loud as the default song.

Very easy to use, only complaint I have is the light sensor sensitivity is very high. When I close the card it doesn't turn of the audio. Wich isn't a big deal other then once reopening the card it didn't sense that the car was ever closed so the audio didn't start playing again on its own. The sensor does come with a cover so it works fine but every time you want it to play you have to remove the cover and replace it once you have listened to it.

I used this to create an elaborate gift for the children of a couple who I am friends with, while they were trying to entertain their kids everyday in covid quarantine. I turned a cardboard box into a circus wagon that played classic circus music when the top was opened. Inside were handheld masks on paint stirrer sticks so their kids could pretend to be circus animals, drawn in black and white so they could color them in. I should have sent some extra batteries, as of course they wore them out within several days, but based on their reports, it sounds like it kept functioning just fine. I put the sound card in a little protective housing I made out of cardboard, mounted to the side wall on the interior, with a hole for light to hit the sensor. I'm sure it would have been destroyed early on if I had not done that.I have experience with arduino microcontrollers, and I considered other options that required more tweaking and setup, and I am very glad that I went with this unit, because it saved me a lot of time, and I think it worked just as well for what I needed.

Funciona correctamente. Yo lo modifiqué instalándole un sistema magnético de apertura y cierre de circuito, y ningún problema. El sonido no es nada del otro mundo; satura un poco con algunas frecuencias, pero cumple para lo que es. Es recomendable usar un archivo de audio mono de buena calidad en lugar de uno estéreo para evitar pérdidas en la grabación y reproducción.

Der Lichtsensor funktioniert einwandfrei und das Bespielen ist denkbar einfach. Die Lautstärke der Wiedergabe hängt nur vom Eingangspegel ab. Je lauter die Quelle bei der Aufnahme ist, desto lauter ist die Wiedergabe. Einen akustischen Hochgenuss darf man nicht erwarten, aber als lustiges Gimmick erfüllt es vollends seinen Zweck.

This thing is my favorite one I use different sound modules for art projects especially for my son. This is great because the cover slip on the light sensor can be pushed in or out which determines how much light will be needed to activate it. Brilliant. I have it set up so the main lights in the room will not activate the sensor, only the small overhead auto light directly above will. Love it.
