This was recommended to me by my sister-in-law who has run a daycare for 20 years. It is very easy to use and allows you do get other things done while it does the mixing for you. It is also easy to clean. The instructions say to not immerse the lid due to the battery compartment but it is still quite simple to clean very well, you just can’t dunk it or put it in the dishwasher. The mixing shaft pulls off rather than twisting off so it will not strip like another reviewer thought it would. I have to use Nutramigen formula (clumpy) for my son along with 2 tsp of oatmeal cereal per ounce which makes it quite thick and it does a good job of mixing it all to a smooth consistency. I’m very happy with this purchase.

Friends. My baby is a happy waker. But I'm not. I've been a bit miffed at the amount of time I've been spending to prep our baby's formula for the day working out the foam and lumps. And dealing with the Mason jars I had to store it in (don't judge. everything else was too cumbersome or too small and we don't have a whole lot of bottles for storage reasons) Last night I unboxed this little gem inspected it and washed it to see what all the complaints were about. Here's my analysis: "Its impossible to clean the lid" I have several items in my kitchen that say "do not submerge (insert part here) in water or liquids to clean" I'm not bothered by this. I can clean things with confidence while keeping them from getting water logged. "The battery cover constantly comes off" I noticed the lines on the battery cover weren't very willing to line up when closed it. So I took off the mixing wand and forced it over until it clicked. Problem solved. It no longer pops off when you take the lid off the pitcher. "But... Its only 28 oz" Well, idk how other formulas alter the volume of other formulas but when adding the proper amount of Similac Pro-total Comfort to 28oz of water it actually renders 32oz of mixed formula how do I know it's 32oz if the markings only go to 28oz? I measured out 32oz of water and put it in the pitcher when I cleaned it the night before and used a sharpie to mark the 32oz level. So this morning, rather than fighting with my usual routine I used the Baby Brezza mixing pitcher. 28oz of water, 14 scoops of formula, pushed the button. Turned on my keurig made up my coffee how I like it. Turned off the mixing pitcher. Poured out the 6.5 oz my baby has been consuming lately, warmed it up. Baby got perfect formula, I got hot coffee. HOW RARE IS THAT AS A NEW PARENT?!? BRILLIANCE. I couldn't be happier. No lumps and no foam are extremely important to me, as are price points and there is no way I was going to pay for one of the big boy mixers as impressive as they sound. This side steps the price, and counter space needed to use one of the automatic individual bottle makers by Baby Brezza. I really appreciate a company that takes into account that every family has their own budget and style of doing things. And that they deliver quality products for parents. Not for their bottom line only.

I love it. I just turn it on and set a timer on my watch to stop it. I use it once a day for about 5-7 mins. My daughter is on breastmilk but because she was born prematurely, we mix a small amount of formula with my breastmilk. I believe this mixer is great for gently mixing. It is so easy to use and the container (NOT the top) is easy to pop into the dishwasher. I do wish the container was a little larger. The max is 800 ml or close to 28 oz. I have used a manual mixer with previous baby and definitely appreciate this one more.

This thing is definitely a time saver! It also ensures that your little babes will not have any kid of “chunks” from the formula that can happen in their hand-mixed bottle. The reason I knocked off a star is because the lid needs to be tighter where the batteries are placed. Every time I go to turn it to open and pour some formula, I end up opening the very top where the batteries are stored. Not a huge deal, but frustrating because my son is quite squirmy when he’s hungry! Also, if you do purchase this, make sure to turn/close the pitcher before putting it into the fridge after mixing or pouring some, otherwise it will spoil sooner than it should due to air exposure. Spoiled formula can cause nasty tummy problems for the littles. If there was a way to easily open it one-handed, especially without unintentionally opening the battery portion, then I think this thing would be phenomenal. It’s also nice to be able to get up in the middle of the night and go run and grab some from the fridge, and throw it in the warmer quick while changing the diaper. Overall, good product and it mixes his formula very smoothly.

**UPDATE** We had to switch to Similac for Spit-Up which is very hard to mix. This review is for the mixer and that formula. I hand wash and use the dishwasher some with the mixer/pitcher and it has held up great! The lid cannot go in the dishwasher because that’s where the batteries are installed. It does go through batteries fairly quickly, but that’s probably due to the fact that we have to let it spin for an ample amount of time to get the clumps out of the formula. We have to scrape the bottom of the pitcher once we pour the boiling water on top, or it will just stick to the bottom. Once we scrape the bottom and sides with the serving fork and let it spin for a good 20 min it is smooth! I also mix it for a couple of seconds with the fork before I start the mixer. When we were using Similac sensitive we never used a fork; just poured the boiling water on top of the formula and put the mixer in and it was smooth in a couple of minutes. This formula is thicker and needs a little extra help mixing. We then refrigerate it and reheat the bottles in a bottle warmer when needed throughout the day. This mixer is a life saver!! Original Review: This formula mixer is a huge help since the hospital told us that we must sterilize powdered formula because it is not made sterilized. I sterilize it by mixing it with boiling water. My only complaint is that it’s small. It only has measurements for 28 oz which does not get us through 24 hours with a newborn.

This is an excellent mixer for formula! I add water, then formula, then put the top on and let it mix for a few minutes - result is perfectly mixed formula- no lumps and no bubbles! I was concerned about keeping it in the refrigerator, but it hasn’t slowed the mixer down at all and works like a charm even when it’s cold. It’s also very easy to clean, just make sure the cover is never submersed in water. I highly recommend this product to moms and dads who are planning to formula feed!

So...this is a difficult one. So often, especially in our sleep deprived new-parent states, we look for anything that will be automated, electrified, or connected in the hopes our lives will be simplified and this whole “feeding a tiny human” thing will be easier. On our wary and drowsy journey sometimes we stumble upon a product that works. Something that makes the process more efficient, safer, and gives us the most important commodity of all, quality time with our baby and peace of mind. This is not one of those products. It’s made well enough; No BPA’s here. The measuring lines are clear and easy to read. The overall quality is just fine. The lid is difficult to get on and off. The idea is that you twist the top to expose the spout to pour. The top also twists off to reveal the battery compartment so this is an engineering fail. We have decided to just leave the spout in the “on” position. The lid states that you may not get it wet to clean it leaving an awkward sophie’s Choice of damaging the motor or never really sanitizing it. The tiny mixer is held on by a flimsy little metal shaft that will most likely strip after repeatedly taking it on and off to clean (assuming in your sleep deprived state you don’t accidentally snap it off). Ultimately this is a useless product equivalent to a gas powered fork.

This has been really helpful since switching formulas to one that foams up easily. Our baby is 3 months old and has always taken bottles at room temp or slightly cold. We make one full pitcher the night before and fill bottles so all bottles are ready to go as needed. This is super easy to use, created minimal foam and is fairly easy to clean. The only downside is not being able to really wash the lid because that’s where the batteries are housed. We wipe it down with a wet/soapy towel and dry it off, but it would be much better if you could just wash it. Really, this has made life so much easier! If you use formula, this is the way to go!

I love how it’s so easy to use and can make a full days worth of formula and stick it in the fridge especially when you have a baby who is freaking out for food so easy and quick to pour into a bottle

I use nutramigen formula which can be quite clumpy but not with this mixer. This is a time saver and I get smooth formula every time. The lid can be a bit tricky to wash but once you get the hang of it, it's fine! Highly recommend this product!

Worked fantastic.

It's a good product. But you can't get the top wet. Which is difficult while cleaning it. I would go back and get the regular one that isn't electric if I had to repurchase this.

The perfect formula mixer. So easy to use and makes prepping formula so convenient. No clumps or bubbles. Highly recommend. Not a big deal that you can’t submerge the top where the batteries are. The wand is easy to clean without submerging the whole thing.
