Does this machine have a hot water dispenser/wand for Americanos?

My US machine does dispense hot water from the steam wand, but *only* with the steam wand lifted into the "up" position! The instruction manual doesn't mention that, and nothing happens when I press the two buttons if the steam wand is down.

recommended coffee tamper size for this machine

Mine did not come with a tamper. Is it 53 or 54mm ?

After brewing my puck is wet. I’ve tried changing the grind and tamp and I never get a dry puck. It’s suppose to be dry right?

I have not been able to get the puck super dry either. I did find that as I made the grind more fine, and compacted the grounds more, the puck got more wet. So maybe you have gone a little too far in that direction? In the end, I wound up focusing on the taste and texture of my espresso, plus the speed of drawing a shot. If I like the taste and its the right thickness, etc... I do not worry too much about the puck being dry.
