Would I do this again probabaly not, but worth the work. Pretty neat. Came with tail ends also but I did not use them they were huge and didn't look good for my setup. But this one is way brighter and higher quality than the smaller ones on Amazon cause I have both and went with this one cause of the twinkle effect. And it is a game changer compared to the cheaper version . Put this on my homemade squaredrop trailer I'm building.

I took me about two weeks to finish the installation since I only have 1-2hrs free time every day to work on it sometimes not at all. It came out wonderful and worth the amount of time you put on it. Light source is great without any noise like other cheap ones. The fiber optics are just likes fish lines in different sizes. I got three sizes but the .03mm bundle is some how mixed with a few .07mm. These lines specifically the big size will leave noticeable mark on the headliner, the small size will be less but you will see the traces they leave on the headliner when not turn on. My headliner is black and i see a lot. And it is also depending on the headliner material too. Overall is is great product and one of the best DIY project.

This is the kind of product that can look amazing once installed, but it is definitely for someone willing to take their time. We purchased this for my friends son for his birthday, it was on his wish list. The light display works just as it should. It took some time to install the lights but the instructions explain that, self explanatory per se, but well worth it! Definitely a great deal for the price. He has been using it now daily for three weeks and has had no issues. Would recommend.

Did not come with any screws to secure fiber optic strand into light box.

The fibers were not consistent on their sizes. And a lot of them broke way too easily. Plus beware if you install this kit in a newer vehicle with a lot of electronics it may screw with them. My keyless entry doesn’t work with lights on, push to start stopped working and my tpms system crashes.

This kit turned out amazing! 400 strands was plenty to get good coverage on a 4x8 ceiling. Very bright in the dark and still bright enough with all lighting turned all the way up. This was well worth the effort to really set our basement apart. The pictures don't even begin to do it justice! As others have said the trick is bundling multiple bunches of strands and working a section at a time. I did furthest away from light source first and worked my way in towards the light. Tape, glue strands into holes and leave everything uncut underneath until the very end.

Dead right out of the box. Flashes once when plugged in then nothing. Unfortunately I never tested it when purchased. By the time I ran all the fibre optic cables it was beyond the return date. Don’t buy this !!
