Best stuff on the market for wood protection!
This is my go to product for any wooden surface in my home. It’s not cheap but you get what you pay for and over the years, this is by far the most economical and quality product to protect wooden surfaces after sanding. I have also used it on the wooden floors in my house. It goes on very easy, dries very quickly to a pleasant matte and doesn’t smell unpleasant either. Whilst it states that it is clear, it is a yellowish colour and does actually slightly darken the wood, but not to any worrying extent. What I also like is that it makes the area completely waterproof afterwards. This is the second time I’ve wood proofed my kitchen worktop so I did need to sand the island first, and I needed to use a fair amount of pressure with my sander to remove the original polyx I used five years ago, so it is pretty good quality and solid stuff! I doubt I would ever use anything else now. Invest in this and you won’t be disappointed.

Reliable results
Applied this product on my kitchen counter after sanding and sealing, and is still very much intact after one year of use. I must admit it ended many years of frustrating work with danish oil. Worth the effort.

Great product
I ordered the clear but please be aware that it will still darken the colour of the wood as can be seen in the photo. 1 finished against an unfinished door. This 375ml tin did 2 doors so if doing more, order a bigger tin. I ended up needing to order another and will probably need a third if doing a second coat. I personally found that applying with a brush and finishing with a cloth did the job. Easy to apply and happy with the result so would definitely recommend.

Top product
Although pricy, nothing beats this. We have used on furniture, doors and floorboards and have never been disappointed. You don’t need a huge amount on application and it’s super easy to apply. Great finish! Matt does make the wood slightly darker but we expected this.

Great oil for stairs & hallway
Fantastic oil, but this for our stairs and hallway, only gripe I should of realised the size of the can was smaller than I expected but that was my mistake

Expensive but remarkable
Our wooden kitchen worktops close to the sink were showing signs of water damage, despite wiping up splashes constantly. After re-sanding (five years after the last time) we decided to invest in Osmo instead of the much cheaper worktop oil we had used before. Close to the sink we used three coats - it shrugs off water splashes completely and they are more obvious for wiping away. The satin we used for the first two coats was too glossy, but a final coat of matt gave the finish we wanted. It really is expensive but if it delays the re-sanding by a few years it's well worth it! And its coverage is good.
