Bosch 18DC-5E 4 1/2-Inch to 5-Inch Dust Collect Cut Off Guard

I needed to increase a cut-out for a cooktop in a granite countertop and bought this attachment to my Bosch grinder after reading horror stories about granite dust all over people's kitchens. This worked great. Connected it to my shop vacuum it was able to catch almost all dust. I recommend to run the grinder at lower speed if possible. With lower speed the vacuum was able catch almost all dust and all dust coverings I had turned out to be not needed. Highly recommend.

Item was as described and arrived on time. Bought it for an outdoor brick foundation repointing and refinishing project on a 150-year-old home. Haven't used it yet but it fits a Bosch angle grinder I bought specifically for the project. Another Bosch grinder I already have was incompatible with this unit so check carefully for you own application.

How else can I put it. This collector is NOT designed for the 4.5" grinder. That it's sold to fit this grinder is a misrepresentation. Now, it MAY fit the 5" grinder, but mine is a standard new Bosch 4.5" grinder.

Solid construction. Still allows lots of dust out because the sides are not closed in. May not fit your grinder unless it is Bosch, not adjustable. Fits Bosch grinders only.

Very practical tool

It only fits the AG series 40,50,60 and the 1800 series. I have the 1350 slimline and it does not fit that, so for that reason, I returned it. The quality looks really good, it is well made. Had it fit, I would have really liked to use it. Returning it for that reason was no problem. I Love Amazon.

This fit my Bosch AG40-85P 4-1/2-Inch Angle Grinder perfectly. The tool changes the grinder into a skilsaw with a diamond blade, making it easy to control the depth of cut. Had to duct tape a 1.5" shop vac hose to the tool - no problem. This enabled me to cut flagstone and cement inside the house with no dust mess. You don't even need to wear a dust mask. Very cool tool.

all metal. no plastic window which is great as it provides good viewing of your blade while its grinding. it doesn't suck all the dust but about 95% is pretty good. if i had a better vacuum maybe it would be even better. use a vacuum with the oneida dust deputry and its quite amazing.

I have a bosch AG40-85P grinder, this cut off guard fit well to my grinder. This guard is not particularly cheap but with the guard, my grinder works like a skilsaw with depth adjustment. It is extremely useful for tile cutting. Bosch customer support is fantastic, before buying this guard, I didn't know if this guard will fit my grinder, there is not much information about that. I got quick response from Bosch. I am happy with my purchase. By the way, I don't know the how effective is the dust collection because I don't have the anything to hook up. I cut my tiles at the backyard, I wear mask and ear plug,

El articulo lo mandaron por ups, ups comenta que nadie los atendio en el domicilio por lo que lo dejaron en un centro de recoleccion. nunca pasaron al domicilio pot lo que toco ir por el producto donde comentan que es muy frecuente que haga eso la mensajeria en cuestion
