A great idea done right
Okay, first I'm an audiophile. I love music and a great sounding system. On the other it's great to have music when you take a shower. My daughter had this on her wish list. My first thoughts were that a shower speaker would probably last about 2 days due to poor construction or design. Then I saw that the Moxie Showerhead with wireless speaker was built by Kohler and I thought perhaps a company with experience in plumbing fixtures including many shower heads would do a good job. Well they did a great job. The speaker enclosure is held in place by a magnet. It fits in the center of the shower head. The water spouts circle the speaker and are set that no water gets on the speaker. It's pretty amazing how well they designed that part. The speaker can pair to any bluetooth device and stream from your phone, iPad, or computer. The speaker is battery powered so you do need to recharge it occasionally. That is no problem. Just remove the speaker and locate the USB connector and recharge it with your smartphone charger. The USB connector is hidden under a rubber plug. The speaker plays plenty loud and it is right above your head for decent sound. Better than having a boom box sitting outside the shower. Also because the speaker is inside the shower it isn't as loud outside of the bathroom. Before with her boom box sitting on the counter next to the sink, the music would be too loud to watch TV in the next room. Now I don't have to tell her to turn down the music. So we have a speaker that well built, fits into the shower head (but doesn't get wet), wirelessly connects to your phone or computer, is removable and rechargeable. Pretty sweet!

Good shower sounds
The Moxie shower head is a great way to listen to your music to get your day going no matter what time it is! It's easy to install and match up to any blue tooth system. But most of all the water pressure and nice flow you get from the shower head is great. I will say that you get a louder sound when it's connected to your iPad or iPad mini. It was not that loud when I connected it to my iPhone. When I first seen it on tv, I wasn't so sure it would be a great product or money well spent. But after buying this item it was a great investment for my bathroom, I enjoy it every time it's use so with that said! Money well spent on a master bathroom upgrade

Incredible! You'll love it.
This is a very cool product. It works exactly as you think. The shower head insert sinks by bluetooth, which is uncompressed sound, to whatever device you have (I use a IPhone 5s) and that's it. No, the sound is not going to make it into the AVS forum but it's good and I'm picky. It's much better than anything you could have hanging or sitting in the shower and for the most part it doesn't actually get wet, although it can, as the water sprays out around it. Very fun. My wife used to just turn her IPhone up really high in the morning after working out and while getting ready to go to work. If you've ever heard that then you know how tinny and dying cat that is. This is lightyears better. So it was a bit of a selfish gift on my part:) Install is just like any shower head and the charge holds a week roughly depending, I suppose, on whether or not you take really long showers, which we don't. For a long bath, you'll want something else but that doesn't need to be nearly so waterproof. Anyway very cool if you like music while you shower and get ready. Very surprised Sonos hasn't gotten into this and connected their whole system that way.

Cool product, great design . . mediocre sound.
Feel a little let down by the amazon.com reviewers on this one . . . As a shower head, it's actually pretty good. Nice water flow, without having to remove anything but, as we all know, you're buying this for the speaker. It's a cool design, it comes with a usb charging cord -- no outlet plug included but worked with a standard charger -- and the speaker is secured magnetically. HOWEVER, it just doesn't sound that great. It's kind of a muted sound -- this is without the water running -- to start with; it seems to be missing something in all the ranges . . . just underwhelming sound. You can hear it, pretty much the same way, when the shower runs but, as far as listening to music, it's not much to listen to. No problem with pairing or anything but, as this price, I really wish it sounded better. ***UPDATE*** After getting used to the sound for a while now, our daughter has elected to just let her iPhone play music the music. THAT'S how mediocre the sound is on this thing. As I said before, the shower head part of it is nice and the design is great. However, the primary reason for having this is to listen to music in the shower and it's the one thing it basically fails at. Not sure what others are hearing but it certainly isn't what's playing.

Too quiet and overheats
Was stoked to get this device installed and try it out. After a full charge and a workout, I hopped in the shower and cranked up the music. For the first couple of minutes, it worked well producing quality sound. Then after a few minutes started getting quieter and quieter. This happened to me on numerous occasions. I take hot showers, especially in the winter. The shower head and the speaker unit was very warm at the end of the shower. I think the unit was overheating. The unit went back to amazon and I went back to my old speakers in the bathroom.

GREAT sound both in- and out-of-shower, Super-Easy to use!
Amazing device-- Produces surprisingly-good Bass for such a small speaker! As for the "complaints" about its not having Volume Controls on the speaker itself-- alternate perspective: the simplicity is part of its Greatness.... and for the short duration of the "average" shower session (what, 5 minutes or so?), just don't choose programming that varies so greatly in volume that you "need" to adjust the volume... Keep it Simple, Kohler! One note/tip on re-charging the speaker: because it uses a USB cord, the temptation is to think it will charge when connected to ANYthing that has a USB port (desktop, laptop, etc.).. Be advised that even though all USB ports are physically the same size (so the plugs can be "universal"), they do not ALL deliver the same electrical current (i.e. "the Juice") to charge the speaker. Learned this when we first tried charging from the USB on an older Desktop computer (over 6 years old), and found that the speaker took FOREVER to charge up.... after 5 hours (with the "I am charging" light still blinking away), I gave that up and switched it to a new laptop that has a more "modern" version of the USB. (For you "techies" out there: The speaker's optimal charging is @ 5V at 1.2A... my older-computer USB port was only putting out 500mA, hence the loooong charge time).

Great concept, ok execution.
Pros: 1. Listening to music in the shower makes it a whole new and further enjoyable experience! 2. Great flow and spread (2.5GPM). I barely miss my handheld shower head, this one does a great job of throwing water. 3. Attractive! The build quality is pretty unmatched, which is how they can (almost) justify their cost. Cons: 1. It's not very flexible in it's ability to pair with bluetooth. There is no way to force it into pairing mode, so if you have 2 devices that you would like to pair with this... say your droid and your wifes iphone)... you have to be sure one of them is not in range with bluetooth enabled. Most every other bluetooth device I own has a way to force the device back into pairing mode, so that even if it's connected to one device - you can have it forget that device and accept a new connection. This speaker does not allow this. I'm guessing an old, outdated version of bluetooth was used. 2. No controls whatsoever. It was something I assumed I didn't need or cared to have, but after using this device for a while - the lack of volume controls and the inability to change tracks... is actually quite frustrating. As some other reviewers have mentioned, any type of spoken word - like podcast discussions - can be quite hard to hear over the sounds of the shower, so you have to turn your volume to max and leave it there the duration of your shower - which isn't always ideal. 3. Price. There are suctioncup, waterproof speakers sold here on amazon as well that are 1/6th the cost and they provide all of the features i've listed as lacking here.

Works perfectly
I've had this shower head for about a year now and have loved every minute of it. It sounds great while the water is on and the range of the bluetooth is great. I can leave be in a different room (on the same floor) and have no problem connecting. The battery life on a full charge is outstanding. We end up using this about 5/6 times a week, 10 min per use, and I have to charge it about once a month. It does take a while to charge fully, I just plug it in over night. My 18 month old boy loves it when I turn it on for the bath. Now his favorite part of the bath. If you like to listen to music in the bathroom/shower, this is well worth the money. I end up streaming pandora and it sounds great.

Nice shower head, unremarkable speaker
Love the idea, and the shower head itself is great. The speaker is OK, not bad, but not great. It doesn't go very loud in comparison to other Bluetooth speakers I have owned, but I guess it doesn't need to when your head is directly below. One thing to note is that it appears to only play a single audio channel (I.e. only the left or right headphone), so you'll have to configure your phone for mono audio if that will be an issue..
