Black, Fine Tip Generic Refills for Livescribe Pulse, Echo or Sky Pens. Smooth-writing, Premium German Ink.

Before buying these I read the reviews for the same ink refills in blue. I was honestly a little nervous, every review was 5 stars and every single review used the word "smooth" to describe the ink. It just sounded like a company planting their own reviews.I never had a problem with the factory pens writing quality, I didn't buy a Livescribe pen for penning letters to people. My main gripe is that the refills are expensive and every pack comes with a useless red refill. Who in the world uses red??Having never had a problem with the writing quality doesn't keep me from realizing that they were terrible in comparision! These pens write so well that I can't imagine going back to the factory refills unless they end up having a MUCH shorter lifespan. If that happens I'll post an update.

I've always hated the refills supplied by Livescribe, and it took the joy away from using the Echo pen. My hand would often tire after taking notes with it. I do admit that these generic refills are smoother, and cause less hand fatigue. The fit may be slightly looser, but I wouldn't have noticed it if other reviewers hadn't commented on it. I'd love an "extra-fine" tip to be added to the lineup as well.

Ink only last for a few hundred words. Ink flow often sporadic. Up until a few years ago these cartridges routinely yield more than 5,000 words before replacement Too bad. The pens were great. I used Livescribe Pens for more than 10 years. If not for the cartridge issue I'd still be using my LS3!

This is exactly what I was hoping it would be. They write a little thinner than the stock medium point which makes my notes much more readable. They are the same length as the stock cartridge as well. I do notice a little rattle from it, I will have to check my recording to see if it's noticeable.

These do fit the Echo pen. But it is a strange fit.And the other reviews are correct, the ink doesn't flow constantly. The ink does randomly stop flowing at times.I was contacted by the seller and was told this happens due to the dotpaper, however I'm not really sure why that would be the case.They sent me a replacement set but they all still have the slightly same problem.But to get around that you can just get some regular paper and scribble on it till the ink flows.So far this has been the only option for ink refills if you don't want to spend $25 ordering other things for the brand name ones to even ship.So I'm giving these 3 stars for excellent customer service and just an ok product.

These are 1000 times better than the original. I ordered both this and the med blue ink. Both write very nice and have no problem being read by the pen. Will be buying again when I run out of the 10 I have. Thank you for making my pen usable again!
