The waste pipe is 30mm rather than 32mm so I'm struggling to find a connector. Anyone else had this problem?

We screwed ours onto a 32mm U bend attachment which then attached to the pipe. We had some issues attaching it otherwise becasue its an american size. Hope this helps.
