Reliable USB to VGA Adapter - Great for Multiple Monitors!
Effectiveness: This USB to VGA adapter has been absolutely essential for extending my laptop setup to include an older VGA monitor that I wanted to continue using alongside my main display. The plug-and-play functionality worked seamlessly with my Windows laptop - I simply connected it and the system recognized the additional monitor immediately without needing complicated driver installations. The 1080P resolution support provides crisp, clear display quality that matches what I expect from modern connections. The multi-display capability has significantly improved my productivity by allowing me to have reference materials open on the secondary monitor while working on my main screen. The stable connection maintains consistent display quality without flickering or dropouts during extended use. Quality: The construction quality is solid with a well-built converter box that feels durable and substantial. The USB 3.0 connection provides reliable data transfer for smooth video display without lag or stuttering that I've experienced with cheaper adapters. The cable length is practical for desktop setups without being excessive or cumbersome. The connector quality is excellent with secure, snug connections that don't become loose or intermittent over time. The adapter stays cool during operation and shows no signs of overheating even during all-day use sessions. Value for Money: This USB to VGA adapter provides outstanding value for extending the useful life of older VGA monitors while adding multi-display functionality to modern laptops. The cost is minimal compared to purchasing a new monitor to replace my perfectly functional VGA display. The productivity benefits of having dual monitors make this adapter worth far more than its purchase price in terms of improved workflow efficiency. The reliability and performance quality ensure this will serve as a long-term solution for my multi-monitor setup needs. This adapter has solved my dual monitor needs perfectly and breathed new life into my older VGA display. Highly recommend for anyone needing to connect VGA monitors to modern USB-equipped computers!

"Rokkon Shōjō!" Action-Packed Dynamite Anime Series from the makers of "Attack on Titan"
Amazing series from the studio (WIT), composer ( Hiroyuki Sawano ) and director ( Tetsuro Araki ) of Attack on Titan fame, that blends Snowpiercer, Attack on Titan & Dawn of the Dead , this series is set in a pseudo steam punk version of Japan in the 1800's. The land is plagued with a strange virus? that turns people into kabane (zombie-like undead) who are drawn to blood and bite other humans (who in turn become kabane). The tricky thing about killing the kabane, unlike Zombies, other than a lucky or powerful shot to the head, the true way to kill a kabane is to pierce it's iron-armored heart. To protect themselves from the Kabane, humans have holed themselves up into walled train station cities that are connected through a massive railway system that utilize great armored locomotives to link these city-stations. (Slight Spoiler) The action centers on Ikoma; a young train worker with a troubled past, who not unlike Eren Jaeger from Attack on Titan, has revenge as a motive to wipe out the Kabane, to this end he works to perfect his modified bolt-gun which successfully pierces kabane hearts. During a test of his new weapon, Ikoma is bitten by a kabane but he manages to stop the virus from reaching his brain by choking off his carotid artery, this tranforms him into the titular Kabaneri: a super strong kabane-human hybrid. A really great anime (imo) worth checking out, I highly recommend it. Warning a very graphic series like Attack on Titan, not intended for children!

Worth watching
Wow. That's one good description for the show, but it also works as a first response for how to answer the question about my opinion of the show. This last is not as positive as the first. Visually, the anime is luscious and beautiful - well-drawn, superb animation especially in the action sequences (of which there are many). The voice acting i also luscious - clear with voices matching the personality of the characters. The characters are extremely well portrayed - until they aren't. More on that in a bit. The story... is actually very good and enthralling. It takes place in a crap-sack world much as say 'Attack on Titan' - there are even walled enclaves of humanity much as in AOT. There is a persistent existential danger that humanity struggles against. Here is where I have a bit of trouble with the story. The threat posed by the Kabane (the monsters if you will) is essentially that of zombies, with the same problem that zombie infestations have - they will lead to the total annihilation of humanity as normals become either infected or dead (check out the CDC and thier take on the Zombie Apocalypse). Far too many humans succumb to the infestation to be sustainable; this intruded into my thoughts all the while I watched the show. As I mention above, the characters are well portrayed - until they are not. Some characters make Heel-Face-Turns (and the antagonist makes a seeming reverse heel-face-turn) that are too far out of character without sufficient causation to changing. This is actually a minor quibble because this is so often done in Japanese anime that it is essentially a trope - Guess in which episode the seeming good guy is seen to be a Big Bad. While this is usually telegraphed from a long way out, it is still jarring. Don't get me talking about the lame Deus ex machina at the very end. OK, that was a lot of verbiage and snark. Bottom line, is the show worth watching? Yes. Very much so. It is a major oppering for the 2016 anime year and can be (has been) placed on "The Best of 2016" lists and polls. I don't feel it bears re-watching as once the Heel-Face-Turns are known a lot of the suspense is gone. It is rather for that reason I cannot give the series 5 stars; it deserves at the very least 4-1/2 stars fo rits production values and the general quality of the story. Bottom line, underscored: Worth watching. I encourage you to do so. Oh. This may not be a good series for particularly young viewers.

Finally, one that works in portrait mode.
This was my third try at finding an adaptor to connect my old 1680x1050 monitor to my laptop. I really don't have the technical know-how to fully rate the image quality. but for me, the image on my monitor is just as good as through an HDMI-VGA adaptor, at least at 1680x1050, 60hz. The thing that was surprisingly challenging was finding an adapter at this price point that can work in portrait mode (vertical) and I'm happy to say that this one does. Its drivers are more up-to-date (relatively speaking) than a lot of other adaptors on the market. specifically, if you are choosing between the adaptor from ABLEWE and this one, get this one. ABLEWE has horribly outdated drivers and does not work at all in portrait mode. I think there is a SLIGHT, barely perceptible, delay in response time, which if you are a gamer could be a deal-breaker. BUT, if you are a gamer, your probably not using VGA anyway, much less looking for a usb-vga adaptor for your primary display. I think average users who simply want to connect their laptop to a VGA display will not notice a thing. One thing that does suck is that you do have to sacrifice a USB 3.0 port on your machine. It does work with 2.0, but unless you are trying to connect an old small bulky monitor (which... come on why are you doing that?) I would not use this through USB 2.0. This is not a fault of the product, but of the limitations of 2.0 itself. Other products that claim that they can do 1080p through USB 2.0 are lying to some degree. I've tried the one developed by ABLEWE, it was the worst. It had horrible ghosting and delay both through the 2.0 and 3.0, and was Completely useless. Oh, btw, if at first you get the 800p display when you connect the device (after you install drivers of course). make sure your port is a 3.0, and try unplugging it and plugging it back in. That should fix it right up. The last thing I am going to say is that if you are looking to attach a 2nd monitor, use either your HDMI, display port, or usb-c ports first as they are MUCH more optimized for this sort of thing. But if you have to do it through a regular USB-A connection, I would actually check to see if the monitor has a HDMI or DVI input and purchase a USB-HDMI adaptor and possibly an HDMI-DVI cable. HDMI is pretty much exactly the same signal as DVI except it also has channels for audio, and if a display can accept digital - DVI, HDMI-DVI will almost certanly work with it. DVI delivers a better image than VGA, and should be what you try first if wanting to get the absolute best quality out of your monitor. But if you are like me and have a monitor that only uses VGA, then this will serve you fine. Will updated if it breaks, I hope this helps.

Save your money. Sketchy drivers, noticable amount of lag, poor refresh rate, pretty much unusable
I recently decided to retire my desktop in favor of a Surface Book 2, and I wanted to add an extra screen onto it. The Surface Book 2 has a USB-C port alongside a number of USB 3.0 ports, but no VGA or HDMI ports. I figured this would be a good solution, and I had the goal of eventually hooking the monitor up to a dock. The package arrived and I hooked it up. Nothing happened at first, so I looked at the instructions. It came with a disc which had the drivers on it, but my Surface Book didn't have a disc drive. The instructions (which were obviously translated from Chinese with Google Translate) gave a link to a website where you could download a driver for it, so I went to the website and everything SCREAMED "super sketchy." I decided to download the drivers anyway, since I had spent $16 on this thing already and I wanted it to work. Installed them and rebooted. The monitor flared to life, but had an extremely poor refresh rate -- I could actually see the monitor refreshing with my own eyes. The driver reported it was refreshing at 60 Hz, but I could see that was clearly NOT the case. Bear in mind this monitor was working absolutely fine hooked up directly to another computer not even an hour beforehand, so it's not the monitor's fault. I plugged it into another USB 3 port and the refresh rate was marginally better, or maybe I stopped noticing it. But then when I went over to use the display, there was about a quarter-second of lag before I could see any input I did. My first screen was working fine, but anything I did on the second screen would take several seconds before it appeared. Okay, fine, whatever. I just stuck a website on it and decided not to use it as my primary monitor. I booted up a game using my laptop's monitor and played for a couple hours... before the screen went dark on my secondary monitor. The screen blinked on, then off, then on, then off again before I finally got frustrated enough to pull the plug. Save your money. Don't order this.

Zombies Versus Trains
After this, I may have to hurry up and watch Wit Studio's Attack on Titan: Complete Season One , but in the meantime I can say with absolute certainty that these people know what they are doing because in the best trainiac anime since Rail Wars! , they prove it! Steampunk industrial revolution Japan ruled by the Shogunate is under assault by a virus that transforms humans into (mostly) mindless zombies such that normal humans now survive in fortress-like "stations" linked by armored steam trains. However, in the long run this is a losing battle as stations occasionally but invariably fall to the zombies; they are not taken back. As our story begins the station town of Aragane is assaulted and overrun by the zombies, but the survivors flee on the armored train Kotetsujo with a couple of aces in the hole, people who have acquired the power of zombies without losing their minds or their humanity, the kabaneri. The first half of this short 12 episode series mostly involves the trainload surviving various zombie tricks and learning to trust one another while the second half deals with the intricate plotting of the shogun's son. Though the series will apparently continue it ends on a good climax. All in all a cleverly handled, well thought out story.

Interesting but disappointing
So, this anime is a love hate kind of deal. My review will also include a bit of spoiler type plot points. So be aware. To get into it, i want to start with what I like. Its well animated and the plot is very unique. Its by the same studio/company who did Attack on Titan, so good animation isnt really a surprise. What makes the plot unique is the beautiful combination of Steam Punk, Feudal Japan, and "Zombies." The unlikely pairing of Feudal Japan and Steam Punk makes for some very interesting character design and just interesting atmosphere. So that is all great. Now, to get into what I found to be disappointing. Its WAY too much like Attack on Titan. The story revolves around a force who has pretty much wiped out most of humanity, so the humans who are left must seclude them selves into these havens, Surrounded by a large wall. Due to some issues, the main wall is broken and this force rushes into the town. The main character (who had his family killed, and has been wanting to become stronger to fight back and avenge his family) due to this invasion finds himself infected, killed, and then "reborn". When he is "reborn", he discovers he has a bit of the enemy force in him and has acquired some of their powers. While this developes, he partners up with a strong female character who shows him the ropes (whos main weapon/gear looks EXACTLY like the Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear), and tries to get him to become stronger both emotionally/mentally and physically. She is an incredibly strong fighter, and naturally good at what she does. While the male lead, is clumsy and timid. After the lead comes to terms with being this new entity that has the powers of the enemy force, he must also now regain the trust of normal humans, as they all now view him as one of the enemies or someone who will betray them. Does this all sound familiar? It should, because thats pretty much the same exact base plot as Attack on Titan. That is what bums me out. This world they created, is interesting. Dare I say, incredible. I wish they took it a bit farther though, and found a way to stand on its own. It just feels way too similar. I will continue to watch until the end, and I will continue to be interested. Hopefully, as the story unfolds the story starts standing on its own two feet. Regardless, I still do recommend the anime and you should give it a try. I just wish I could think of it higher than a 6/10.

Great world building, characters, and politics in a post apocalyptic world.
I love post apocalyptic anime. I've been an anime fan since high school in the 90's, and some of my favorite stories in anime are in the post apocalyptic genre. Wolf's Rain, Casshern, Noein, and others are wonderful. More recently series such as Attack on Titan have become increasingly popular, and for good reason. If I had to sum up this series so far, I'd describe it as "Snow Piercer meets Attack on Titan, but with Zombies" Kabeneri of the Iron Fortress was created by the same studio that made Attack on Titan, and it is extremely obvious in the character design and animation style. Even the plot shares some of the same devices. Humans are a dwindling species, and live in "stations" surrounded by walls that keep out the Kabane. The Kabane are humans that have been infected with a virus that effectively turn them into zombies. These Kabane however are extremely strong, fast, and hard to kill due to a crystal like substance surrounding their heart. Kabaneri are those that have been infected by the virus but have (through one way or another) not turned completely into Kabane. This gives them increased strength, speed, and durability without the mind altering or destroying effects of becoming a full Kabane. They retain their humanity. They do however, need to drink human blood in order to sustain themselves. The plot moves at about the same pace as Attack on Titan, where a LOT happens in the first episode, followed by a few slower paced episodes. While the fighting scenes are absolutely amazing and put together well, they are not the main focus of the series. While they wow you, the series takes care to not make it the focus, relying instead on developing each character, the world, and the politics of the remaining human colonies. Since only a third of the series (I am assuming 24 episodes) is available right now I can't say that my rating will not change yet, but for right now the storytelling, politics, and characters of the world have made me a huge fan. There hasn't been as many "shocks" or "twists" as Attack on Titan yet, but the series is still young

Great - all works good! Only make sure you connect to USB 3.0
It works great. I downloaded the driver and installed it in a few minutes - then everything worked just OK, plug and play, no need to restart the computer. NOTE: I have an older model of ThinkPad X1 Carbon that has 2 USB ports. First I connected to one of them and the image quality was bad (low resolution only). Then I switched to the other one and everything was OK, with great image quality and HD resolution. That made me realize that one USB was 3.0 (the one I needed to use) and the other USB 2.0 (that didn't work well with the Adapter. Happy with my purchase and I will advice my fellow Amazonian Buyers to check in the computer system settings the type of USB (needs to be 3.0 to work properly)

Works Great! Solid Value. Must download drivers.
This is a great product. I imagine any of the low reviews are mostly people who can't figure out the drivers. If you don't have a cd-rom drive, you need to go to the link in the product description above, and download the corresponding driver for your system. Install that. Restart your computer. Then this adapter will turn your VGA monitor into a useable source. I have a broken laptop screen, and used this adapter to hook up my old VGA monitor to the laptop. I have another monitor attached via HDMI. Now I have two monitors again. Also, I can use all three sources if I want, all with their own individual extended, not mirrored, display. Despite one being broken... Ty for the awesome product! Much cheaper solution then getting my monitor fixed. Glad I didn't buy the other adapters on Amazon, some that were close to $100! insanity.
