expensive, sure. But it works great. Sure there might be something cheaper. But I know this is a name brand item, great quality. In my opinion it was worth paying a little extra just for the reassurance of good quality. Easy install, but then again I used to do it for a living.

Client bought a house with this brand panel I need to find the right switch to fit. This switch mounted properly in the panel with no problems. The switch has been installed for months and haven’t had a call back yet. With these type of panels it’s always best to use the equipment that was meant for them. Or you’ll find yourself still in the panel up quickly. This switch was the perfect fit and did the job.

This is the second one I’ve bought! I have one in my On-Q box and then I bought one for my parents. Works great and easy to install.

Because this is a part of a line of home security / automation hardware it is overpriced for what it is. However, it was a snap to install and we were up within seconds literally. We opted not to use the firewall feature as we have a separate firewall in the loop. Everything works as expected.

Used this to correct a poorly-done in-wall Legrand infrastructure wiring job for a client. After tracing runs, properly labeling the wires, terminating the wiring and powering up the switch, the speed of his intranet (not to be confused with internet - intranet is client-to-client/server inside a private network) nearly quadrupled thanks to the switch and the correction of poorly-done to incorrectly-wired LAN segments. It also added a small boost to the internet speed by not having to route traffic though the ISR router leg when going client-to-client, thus freeing up what little DSL bandwidth was available for traffic needing internet access. Sturdy unit, well-made for what it is. Heat does not seem to be a particular issue, though it is not the coolest switch I have used. Good, positive engagement of locking lugs, excellent throughput and tested to full 1Gb line traffic bandwidth without problem on five clients and a server. There is one port unused for future expansion. Price for performance is good, if not exceptional. If you have an in-wall infrastructure wiring box, I highly recommend this switch for LAN management.

It’s awesome to be able to have all my network switches right inside the ON-Q cabinet. Works as expected, mounts very easily in the cabinet.

Item was what I needed. Kinda useless w/out power chord. Found thatit was not sold with one. Had to order. Other than that good item.

Just moved into my house and all my CAT5e cables were terminated into telecom type connectors in my ONQ box. I wanted a switch that I could use in my ONQ box to provide Ethernet to all the CAT5e cables. This fit the bill perfectly for me. This unit does require a power supply, please read the product description for those details. It is kinda pricey, but its a specialty product and does mount nicely in the ONQ box.
