In this collection of four stories, Yasmin takes charge of some sticky situations! At home, at school, or out and about, Yasmin faces challenges head on with creativity and quick thinking. Whether she's creating a new recipe, finding a way to rescue a stuck toy for a little friend, or calming down monkeys (and classmates!), a clever solution to any problem is just around the corner! Review: Lovely empowering books. - At last a "minority" character in a secular setting. Lovely text and illustrations. The stories are simple with a climax ... I like the Pakistani terms here and there . They are few enough to not obstruct the flow of the story, but nice to show my kids that there are different cultures/ways/languages to say things. I bought the whole collection. Both my 5 twins, boy and girl, loved them. Review: A delightful followup - Saadia Faruqi is one of my and my 6-year-old daughter's favorite authors! This is a delightful followup to MEET YASMIN. My daughter especially loved the craft suggestion in the back, and within an hour of getting this book for her birthday she'd already made a superhero puppet. We can't wait for more Yasmin in the future!

Kid Tested & Approved
My 8 year old son and 5 year old daughter love reading about Yasmin’s adventures. It usually inspires their creative side. This is our second Yasmin book. Like the first one, it did not disappoint!

Simply wonderful cultural reading
This is a great book for young elementary students. No concerning issues and it is multicultural. I love how it introduces the reader to some Middle Eastern word uses, like Baba for father and Jann for a loved one.
