Game changer for the amateur woodworker
Not sure whether it's worth paying the premium for the smaller bits that I've bought from this brand, but for this big boy it's well worth the money. Good bit of kit that will grind off pretty much anything - you will then need to put the yards in with 120 grit for sound detailing in hard to reach areas. Lee L - no it doesn't. This is because your wood has excessive moisture content and/or you're being too aggressive with it.

Great bit of kit!
This Kutzall Extreme Burr is efficient and aggressive! . . . Its a great bit of kit in a rotary tool to remove media fast! I use it for carving soft and hardwoods and it is just brilliant! . . . I highly recommend these Kutzall burrs!!

Very effective and fun to use
Bought for by my wife as a birthday present, I had a specific job in mind: hollowing out two pieces of ash to make a lightbulb (don't judge, it takes all sorts). The Kutzall Very Coarse burr ate its way through the wood, each one taking about an hour to hollow out. I was also able to do surprisingly fine and accurate work with it too, even with the weight of my FatMax drill. The only downside is the amount of dust that was created, but eggs and omlettes and all that.

Clogged up
I liked the idea but not the results . Trying to carve out a small tree stump as a planter. Bounces around too much, Clogged up very quickly, wire brush struggles to clear it. Would not recommend

Roughed in a walnut serving spoon bowl in about 1.5 minutes. It removed a crazy amount of material very quickly. Is this thing a little scary to use? Yes. Is it ALSO extremely fun and satisfying? ALSO YES!

Ok, so this burr worked even better than I had hoped. I was carving into dense resin to try and reclaim a fudged piece and this tool made the job much easier! Very happy how it went through the materials and very controllable; as I thought the burrs might catch and grab a bit more. Nope! Great design. And it held up great with no visible dulling of the points/burrs.
